Environmental Artist-in-Residence Award The McColl Center for Visual Art have announced a call to artists to apply for an environmental artist-in-residence award to create works of ecologically-based work in the public domain. Artists are supported with a stipend, housing, studio, and a materials and labor budget. The Environmental Artist-in-Residence (EAIR) program encourages artists to have beneficial impacts on urban life through creation of art that is scientifically relevant, meaningful and beneficial environmental art. Opportunities for Artists/Curators Gallery 263 in Cambridge currently has opportunities for both artists and artist/curators. The Winter Residency Program offers eight weeks January-March, with six weeks of studio space (work only) and two weeks of exhibition. No fee to apply, but residents are required to contribute a studio fee to participate. Learn more. The gallery also has a call for exhibitions for its Curatorial Proposal Series. Animal Art Exhibition The Ohio Veterinary Medical Association invites artists to participate in the exhibition Wings, Tails & Scales: An Art Exhibition Celebrating Animals. The exhibit will occur at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, in conjunction with the Midwest Veterinary Conference, which draws an average of 5,500 attendees annually.
