Exhibition Opportunity LynnArts is accepting proposals for solo exhibits for Massachusetts based artists. Proposals are only accepted for the Willow Community Gallery. (The Time Warner Gallery is a curated exhibition space). Learn more.

Environmental Artist-in-Residence Award The McColl Center for Visual Art have announced a call to artists to apply for an environmental artist-in-residence award to create works of ecologically-based work in the public domain. Artists are supported with a stipend, housing, studio, and a materials and labor budget. The Environmental Artist-in-Residence (EAIR) program encourages artists to have beneficial impacts on urban life through creation of art that is scientifically relevant, meaningful and beneficial environmental art. Opportunities for Artists/Curators Gallery 263 in Cambridge currently has opportunities for both artists and artist/curators. The Winter Residency Program offers eight weeks January-March, with six weeks of studio space (work only) and two weeks of exhibition. No fee to apply, but residents are required to contribute a studio fee to participate. Learn more. The gallery also has a call for exhibitions for its Curatorial Proposal Series. The series provides artists of all media and experience levels a chance to experiment with the organization and presentation of contemporary art. Learn more.

Poetry and Fiction Writers The Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based literary magazine cream city review is currently accepting submissions for its annual poetry and fiction contest. Winners in each genre receive a $1,000 prize and publication in the Spring 2013 issue. Learn more.

Animal Art Exhibition The Ohio Veterinary Medical Association invites artists to participate in the exhibition Wings, Tails & Scales: An Art Exhibition Celebrating Animals. The exhibit  will occur at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, in conjunction with the Midwest Veterinary Conference, which draws an average of 5,500 attendees annually. Works must be original, and portray animal subject matter. All 2-D and 3-D forms of media are encouraged for submission. Learn more.

New England Filmmakers The LEF Foundation’s Moving Image Fund is currently accepting Letters of Inquiry (LOI’s) for projects requesting Production and Post-Production support. LEF invests in documentary film and video projects that demonstrate excellence in technique, originality of vision and voice, and creativity in form. Learn more.

Public Art The Gloucester Committee for the Arts, on behalf of the City of Gloucester, MA, is seeking professional artist/s and/or artist team(s) for 3 new public art commissions. Artists are asked to submit proposals to design, create and complete new public art work in downtown Gloucester for their 2012 designed HarborWalk. Open to all media; artists working in all creative art forms. Learn more.
