Photographers The Photographic Resource Center is accepting entries for their exhibition Exposure 13. This year’s juror is Karen Haas, Lane Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Eight photographer’s work will be selected for this highly regarded annual juried exhibition. Learn more.

Professional Development ArtMorpheus in partnership with the Boston Center for the Arts is holding  a workshop for artists of all disciplines called Nurturing the Creative Mind: Increasing Productivity. The workshop takes place on Tuesday, March 19th – Tuesday, April 23rd. Registration required. Learn more.

Emerging Artists Applications are now being accepted for the Franklin Furnace awards grants to emerging artists. Grants enable artists to produce major works in New York. Grants may range between $2,000 and $10,000 depending upon funding received by Franklin Furnace. Artists from all areas of the world are encouraged to apply. Learn more.

Painters over 45 The Provincetown Art Association and Museum is currently accepting applications for their fourth annual Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Foundation Grant, which provides financial backing for mature American painters aged 45 or older who demonstrate financial need. The primary emphasis is to promote public awareness and a commitment to American art, as well as encouraging interest in artists who lack adequate recognition. Grants range from $5,000 to $30,000. Photographers Simmons Institute for Leadership and Change in partnership with Simmons College Department of Art and Music are presenting the New England Women in Photography, Bring it to the Table: Portfolio Sharing & Conversation to be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013, from 10:00 am- 12:30 pm. RSVP required by April 18, 2013. Learn more.

Writers Rose Metal Press, an independent publisher of hybrid genres, seeks full-length hybrid and cross-genre manuscripts for publication in 2015. Learn more.

Call to Artists Artful Vagabond Production in conjunction with The Slate Valley Museum in Granville, NY is accepting submissions from artists throughout the continental U.S. for 2-D and 3-D artwork that uses slate as a medium, or as the subject, for their 2014 National Juried Exhibition, Slate as Muse. Deadline: September 30, 2013

Of Note: In honor of Cape Ann Artisans 30th Anniversary the Cape Ann Museum will hold a retrospective exhibit of work by 70 past and present members. The exhibit will open on March 2, 2013, with a reception for the public from 3 – 5 pm and continue through May 26th. Demonstrations and talks by the artists will be held on March 30th, April 27th, and May 18th.
