Published Writers The Drue Heinz Literature Prize awards $15,000 and publication by U. of Pittsburgh Press to a collection of short fiction. Photographers The Kiernan Gallery (Lexington, VA) is currently accepting entries for their exhibition Still Life: The Art of Arrangement. Juror Jason Landry will select up to 30 images for display in the main gallery, and up to an additional 40 to be included in the online gallery. Chalk Artists The third annual Northampton Chalk Art Festival (September 14, 2012) is now accepting entries. Selected artists will be invited to work from 8am until 4pm, rendering drawings in chalk on 5’x5′ cement canvases located throughout downtown Northampton. All who participate receive a $100 stipend.
