Call to Artists The Design Studio for Social Intervention seeks an artist/team to collaborate with them on phase two of a campaign co-designed with youth to address social violence in Boston. Currently the campaign uses the symbol of the fitted cap (frequently used by gangs and crews to “rep” their block) and memorial pin to offer youth a chance to “flip” the dynamic of block vs block violence in Boston. For this aspect of the project, the artists will develop a social intervention that engages 200 or more young people. Questions: contact Kenneth Bailey.
Deadline: June 20, 2011
