Massachusetts Voter Information: Find your polling place to vote in the upcoming election November 5th!

Request for Mural Proposal The Wurtele Center for Leadership and Lazarus Center for Career Development announce a co-sponsored search for an artist to create a temporary mural for the main stairwell of Kathleen McCartney Hall, a new campus building for the Wurtele and Lazarus Centers. Thematically, the mural will explore the future(s) of work and leadership, framed within the context of Smith College’s history as a women’s college with a mission to develop “engaged global citizens and leaders to address society’s challenges.” We seek to commission an artist whose work will inspire the Smith community to think critically and expansively about leadership and careers/work, and who will incorporate inclusive practices in the project. Call for Associate Members The Kingston Gallery in Boston is now accepting applications for new Associate members. Associate Members enable the gallery to meaningfully engage with a number of artists and to exhibit a wide range of high-quality contemporary art. The Associates meet throughout the year and participate in many Kingston gallery activities, including organizing, installing, and staffing the well-received Associates’ annual exhibition each year. Call for Proposals for 2025 The Goethe-Institut Boston invites New England creatives from all fields of artistic practice to submit proposals for a Studio 170 Residency in 2025. Successful applicants will realize their proposed projects in our newly-renovated space in Back Bay.Learn more.

Travel Stipends to Germany for New England Artists for 2025 Planning an artist residency or cooperation in Germany in 2025? Studio 170 can help with travel costs.  Studio 170 is once again offering New England artists of all disciplines the opportunity to apply for travel funding to Germany in 2025. Craft Innovation Jumpstarter Program The Society of Arts + Crafts is currently accepting applications for its Craft Innovation Jumpstarter Program and will award two artists a grant of $3,000 this winter. The purpose of the grants is to support craft artists who reside in the United States to pursue new directions or advance new ideas in their work. The goal of increasing equity, inclusion and diversity in the craft field will be an important program focus. Learn more.

Arts Conference TransCultural Exchange’s 2025 International Conference on Opportunities in the Arts: Avenues for Daring will take place March 7-9, 2025 at The Foundry, Cambridge, MA Early Discount Registration ends December 5. This is the opportunity to meet residency directors, curators, critics, and others who support artists’ work and are eager to find new artists for their programs. Join countless workshops, talks, roundtable discussions, networking sessions, and the chance to share your art with your fellow attendees and the more than 150 presenters from down the block, across the nation, and around the world.
