Of Note: Grants For Creative Individuals This program aims to equitably advance creative expression throughout the Commonwealth with unrestricted grants to Massachusetts artists, culture bearers, and creative individuals. Grants are $5,000. Learn more.

Artist in Residence Urbano is inviting artists from all disciplines (visual; dance/theatre; spoken word; writing; film/photography; and especially artists with a social and/or transdisciplinary practice) to submit an application in serving as one of our new Artists-in-Residence (AiR’s). Our cohort of artist-educators who will center our fiscal year’s curatorial theme into one of our three educational programs: our Youth Art Projects, Community Art Projects, and/or Short Intergenerational Projects. Printmakers The Boston Printmakers is currently accepting new memberships. To qualiify for membership, an artist’s work must be juried. Either accepted into two juried Boston Printmakers North American Print Biennials OR by submitting an application directly to the Membership Committee. Learn more.

Call for Exhibition Proposals Exhibition proposals are currently being accepted for the 2025 exhibition season. Consisting of bi-monthly shows of two-dimensional works by New England area artists in the Jamaica Plain Branch Library’s public exhibition space. Applications are now being accepted for exhibits for the January-December 2025 cycle. If you have submitted with us in the past, you must resubmit. Past exhibiting artist may reapply after a 2-year waiting period. Learn more.

Call for Artists The Mystic River Water Association (MyRWA) is extending a call for artists for their paid 2025-2026 Mystic Artist in Residence Program. This program is an exciting opportunity to emphasize the vital connection between the arts and our environment. Through our work with the Artist-in-Residence, MyRWA hopes to increase community engagement, deepen relationships, and highlight the diverse communities in the Mystic River watershed and how they intersect with their work. Call to Artists Queer Women’s Artist Lab New Orleans will explore the queer geography and history of New Orleans and consider how similar geographies and histories from their home communities may inform their proposal. Artists will complete the Lab with a project proposal for a contemporary art project (an exhibition or a book) and a sample work that will be considered for an exhibition that will take place in 2025 or 2026. The lab is open to any artist, regardless of how they identify, who wants to make contemporary artwork that speaks to the experience of Queer Women.  Learn more.

Creative Projects for Schools  An expansion of STARS Residencies, this program offers grants of $5,000 for school-based projects that foster creative learning experiences in the arts, sciences, and humanities for K-12 students. Learn more.

Fellowship for BIPOC Ceramic Artists The Asparagus Valley Pottery Trail is pleased to announce their 2nd annual Early Career Fellowship for BIPOC Ceramic Artists. The Fellowship has been established to support artists of color who are embarking on a career in functional ceramics. Ceramic artists are invited you to apply and experience the thriving pottery community and creative economy in Western MA. Residency Fellowships The Vermont Studio Center is now accepting applications for 2025 residencies. VSC welcomes visual artists and writers for 2-, 3- and 4-week residencies to an inclusive, international community, honoring creative work as the communication of spirit through form. Local Cultural Council Program Every community in Massachusetts is served by a Local Cultural Council (LCC), led by municipally appointed volunteers who administer an annual grant program to support local cultural projects. Individuals, groups, and organizations may apply. Grant amounts vary and applications are submitted directly to each LCC. Learn more.

Craft Artists Applications for CERF+ Get Ready Grants for Craft Artists will open on September 17, 2024. These CERF+ grants provide up to $1,000 to individual artists working in craft disciplines to carry out activities that will help secure their studios, protect their businesses, plan their legacies, and prepare for emergencies.
