Call to Artists The Blanche Ames National Juried Art Exhibition is currently accepting entries for an exhibition (September 18- October 6, 2012) at Ames Mansion Museum, Borderland State Park, North Easton, MA. All media excepted. Color catalogue. Juror: Christine Neill. Artist, Professor of Painting, Maryland Institute College of Art. $2000 awards. Learn more.

Call to Artists Entries are now being accepted for Sustaining/Creating, a national juried exhibition of emerging artists. The call is open to artists ages 16–25 living in the United States who have a disability. As defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, a disability is a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity. Previous award recipients are not eligible to apply. Learn more.

Call to Artists TransCultural Exchange is inviting their original project artists and newcomers to make, contribute, and take-away an art work at Toronto’s 2012 Culture Works Festival, which is part of the BIG on Bloor Festival. TransCultural Exchange’s launched one of the largest democratic, global art projects in the world: The Coaster Project, Destination: The World. Learn more.

Furniture Artist The John D. Mineck Foundation has created a fellowship to encourage and support a young-in-career furniture artist looking to fulfill an apprenticeship, develop their own skills, and/or make the transition to independence. Administered by The Society of Arts and Crafts, a $25,000 fellowship is awarded annually to one artist. Learn more.

Poetry, Creative Nonfiction Common Ground Review seeks submissions for their Fall/Winter 2012 issue. Send 3–5 poems, 61 lines max, and/or creative non-fiction (12 pages max) with SASE. Learn more.

Poets Entries are now being accepted for the May Swenson Poetry Award. Winning manuscript receives $1,000 plus publication by Utah State University Press. Full-length poetry collection in English; no restrictions on form or subject. Learn more.

Exhibition Proposals The Indianapolis Art Center is currently seeking proposals for their 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons. Proposals will be reviewed on a rotating basis as they are received, and may retain proposals for upwards of 3 years for consideration. Proposals should include the following items on a CD or DVD: an artist statement, not to exceed 1 page, a resume or biography, 12–15 images of individual works (details may be included), and a list with title, media, size, and year completed for each image. Videos of performance work may also be included. Learn more.
