Exhibition Proposals The Multicultural Arts Center is now accepting proposals for gallery exhibitions. Work needs to be wall-mountable fine art that relates to our mission of supporting multicultural arts that help to educate the community about diversity. We also strive to support artists and groups who may not otherwise have access to a professionally equipped and accessible facility or the cultural mainstream. Cambridge Area Poets Poets from the Cambridge, MA community are invited to participate in a public art installation centered around science and racial justice. The Poetry of Science aims to increase the representation of Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian & Pacific Islander, and People of Color’s experiences in the fields of poetry, photography, and the sciences. Latinx Artists Fund The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC)’s 2021 Actos de Confianza, a relief fund for Latinx artists, cultural workers, and arts organizations is open for applications. Grant amounts are $2,500 for Latinx artists and cultural workers and $5,000 for Latinx arts organizations. Learn more.

Outdoor Sculpture and Installations Hill Orchard is seeking sculptures for their 6th Biennial Art In the Orchard. The 6th Biennial will draw more than 20,000 visitors from Aug 1st to Nov 28th and feature 30 works. Selected artists receive a $500 honorarium. Call for Sculpture Old Frog Pond Farm & Studio in Harvard has a call for proposals for their 15th Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit, Emergence (August 1 – October 9, 2021). Old Frog Pond Farm & Studio is place for Agriculture, Art, and Community. Visitors find vegetables at their farm stand, pick their own organic apples and raspberries, attend workshops, performances, and poetry readings, and enjoy each year’s new sculpture exhibit. Call for Art Entries are being accepted for the 2021 Art on the Trails outdoor exhibition. The exhibition will be installed in the Beals Preserve in Southborough on Saturday, June 12 and Sunday June 13 and will remain in the Preserve until September 26, 2021. The juror for the show will be announced in the coming weeks. They invite artists to propose art projects that bring people together and heal. Like Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by joining the pieces with gold, and making the pottery stronger and more valuable in the process, artists are asked to consider how we can repair our fractured world through art and make our community and relationships stronger and more resilient.
