Photography Submissions are now being accepted for Sohn Fine Art’s 4th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition in Lenox, MA. The exhibition will be on view at Sohn Fine Art Gallery March 20 – May 3, 2015. Choreographers The Somerville Arts Council is seeking companies that create original choreography derived from modern or ballet technique. Applicants are not expected to create “new” work for the submission but rather to submit work they are currently refining. Accepted companies will have the opportunity to workshop this work with David Dorfman. Boston Poets The Mayor’s Poetry Program at Boston City Hall has announced a call for poetry. The Mayor’s Office of Arts & Culture will display selected poems on the walls of city hall. Poets who reside or work in Boston are invited to send in work to help celebrate the city through poetry and to remind people of what a culturally exciting city Boston is to live and work in. Poet Laureate Danielle Legros Georges will select 20 poems based on strength of both content and style. Submit the following: 3 poems (a maximum of 200 words per poem); one-paragraph summary about the type of work you are presenting; electronic submissions are encouraged. Call for Environmental Art Entries are now being accepted for Appearances: Provincetown Eco-Arts Festival. Artists, writers and scientists interested in participating need only to fill out the online entry form with their proposal. There are no entry fees. Open to all art forms and indoor as well as outdoor work. The festival takes place in Provincetown on April 24-May 3, 2015. Exhibition Proposals The Brookline Arts Center is currently accepting exhibition proposals on a rolling review. The Center’s call for exhibition proposals encourages solo artists and groups of all levels to organize and present a professional exhibition with the guidance and support of our staff. The BAC’s Gallery hosts three to four solo or group proposed exhibitions each calendar year. A panel of jurors consisting of local Brookline artists and professionals will make the exhibition selections. All exhibitions will be approximately one month in length. The placement of the exhibit within the calendar year may be timed to accommodate BAC special events. Learn more.
