Of Note: VoCA Talks is a series of public programs featuring artists and their collaborators in conversation about the challenges and rewards inherent in making, showing, and preserving contemporary art. VoCA Talk with artist Elizabeth James-Perry (Aquinnah Wampanoag) and curator Tess Lukey, to be held as part of the Arrival Art Fair in North Adams, MA on June 14, 2025. The event is free and open to all art fair attendees, though advance registration to both the Art Fair and the Talk is required.

First Peoples Fund Yéigo Action Grant The Yéigo Action Grant provides support for the growing landscape of Native artists and culture bearers who need financial assistance with a specific professional opportunity or towards a hardship that is hindering their creative practice. This program offers grants between $100 and $1,000 for individual Native artists and culture bearers. First Peoples Fund (FPF) finds it essential to support artists in their times of need, especially when their work is impacted by sudden hardship. Learn more.

Clay & Ink Exhibition The New Hampshire Art Association invites New England artists to submit work for Clay & Ink, a juried exhibition exploring the relationship between ceramics and printmaking—two process-driven mediums rooted in transformation. From the press to the kiln, both disciplines embrace touch, texture, and technical mastery to create compelling visual narratives. Open to all forms of print and ceramic media, this exhibition will highlight the intersections of surface and form, 2D and 3D, tradition and innovation. Learn more.

Gallery Open Call Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) is looking for local artists to submit work to be part of the Karen Aqua Gallery showcase this July. Share work that celebrates loud, proud, and unapologetic self-expression under the theme “Shared Frequencies”. CCTV believes everyone’s voice deserves to be heard, and that our community (and our world) is a better place because of the art we see when barriers are removed. Learn more.

Craft Artists Emergency Grants CERF+ Get Ready Grants Open Applications for CERF+ Get Ready Grants for Craft Artists are open! These grants provide up to $1,000 to individual craft artists for activities that strengthen studio security, protect practices, plan artistic legacies, and prepare for emergencies. Learn more.

Call for Nominations for Boston Artists of Color WBUR seeks their next cohort of Makers. They are seeking nominations for artists of color in Greater Boston whose work engages with themes of the environment and climate. Ideal nominees use their art — whether it be visual, music, performance, literature, culinary, digital media, or other creative fields — to explore ecological issues, sustainability, climate justice, and our relationship with the natural world. Whether through activism, scientific collaboration, or innovative storytelling, these artists challenge perspectives and inspire action toward a more sustainable future. The work of the artists will be covered by WBUR reporters for radio and online. The project will culminate in a performance event celebrating the artists at WBUR CitySpace in the fall. The project will connect local musicians with unique opportunities to showcase their talents to a global audience at Boston Logan International Airport. Currently seeking solo acts who thrive in a busking setting and excel at captivating an ever-changing crowd. If you have a dynamic performance style and a history of engaging diverse audiences in lively public spaces, submit your interest and share your talent in action. Please note that this opportunity is contingent upon passing a mandatory security check and is currently in the exploratory phase. Call to Artists Touchstone Gallery is accepting entries for their juried open call exhibition Collab. All visual mediums are accepted including but not limited to painting, printmaking, textile and fiber, video and animation, photography, sculpture, ceramics, collage, performance, sound, and mixed media. Works must be original and completed within the past five years. This exhibition will include both a physical gallery show located in Washington, DC and a virtual exhibition. Learn more.

Mural Project The Town of Salisbury, Massachusetts invites artists and design professionals to submit proposals for a public art mural project.  The artwork will be installed on the Partridge Brook Skatepark that is located along the Rail Trail. We hope to Create a 1000+sq foot mural that projects what our community has come together to create to locals, visitors and as well as create a place that people want to protect and care for. Call to Photographers The Photographic Resource Center (PRC) is currently accepting submissions for EXPOSURE 2025, their annual juried members show! Since 1996, EXPOSURE has showcased the work of over 400 photographers—both emerging and established—through thoughtful, in-depth exhibitions. This year’s juror is Conor Moynihan, Interim Department Head and Associate Curator of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs at the RISD Museum. Learn more.

First Peoples Fund Native Performing Arts Production Grants The Native Performing Arts Live Production Grant (LPG) program supports Native-led live performing events and performances that include multiple Native performers and artists. “Live Production” means the artist(s) are actively engaged in creating a live performance, either in person or virtually. Live Productions can include: Original or re-adapted theatrical plays, touring for Native performance groups, performances taking place in Native communities, and other forms of live performance that may not fit into conventional performance categories (such as music festivals, concerts, and fairs). The grant amount is $30,000. Learn more.

Call for Muralists Two large-scale mural opportunities are now open for applications as part of a growing effort to bring community-centered artwork to Pittsfield. These projects aim to celebrate, inspire connection, and foster a more colorful and inclusive cityscape. Artists or artist teams may apply to one or both mural opportunities. Each project includes an artist stipend of $18,000. North St RFQ and the Tyler St RFQ.

Filmmakers Grant The SFFILM Documentary Film Fund (DFF) supports engaging documentaries in post-production which exhibit compelling stories, intriguing characters, and an original, innovative visual approach. The Documentary Film Fund grants its support to approximately 3-4 projects each year with grants of $10,000 – $15,000. Recipients will also gain access to numerous benefits through the SFFILM Makers artist development program. Learn more.

Provincetown Art Association and Museum Scholarships PAAM offers two scholarships opportunities for taking a workshop in their Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Museum School. The Cape Cod Artist’s Scholarship is offered to local artists who reside on Cape Cod year-round. The scholarship, which underwrites a PAAM workshop, is open to all types of media. Painters, printmakers, photographers, sculptors, and mixed media artists are encouraged to apply. There is no age restriction. Learn more.
