Boston Visual Artists Five artists who have lived, worked, taught, and exhibited in Boston for decades have organized a get-together to celebrate Boston’s visual artists. When the Globe recently announced it was cutting arts coverage, there was a big response and we wondered what they could do. They decided to start with an event for artists to meet more artists in order to broaden and strengthen their community. Artists for Humanity, in South Boston, will host the event, the Arts and Business Council of Greater Boston is sponsoring. Join them at Artist to Artist on Sunday, October 9, 3-5pm. Meet Greater Boston’s visual artists, ones you know and ones you don’t know. They’ll have light refreshments, a free raffle with gifts, sign up sheets for future events like studio visits, get-togethers over wine or coffee, arts advocacy, and gallery tours. Groups that work their behalf, like MASSCreative, Medicine Wheel Productions, and Artmorpheus will be handing out information. Sign up right away to reserve a place as space is limited. You can also go to Artist to Artist on Eventbrite.
