Call to Artists Zullo Gallery Center for the Arts in Medfield invites artists to explore participation in its inaugural augmented reality (AR) exhibit “Evolution of a Small Town,” opening on May 10, 2024. As a first step, Zullo is hosting a free artist workshop on Wednesday, March 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the gallery at 456A Main St., Medfield. No prior augmented reality experience is necessary – artists with any level of knowledge are invited to attend the workshop to raise their comfort level with AR (or expand their existing understanding), and explore the chance to participate in the Zullo exhibit. Call for Entry: Jewelry and Adornment The Society of Arts & Crafts is accepting entries to The Nature of Imperfection: Jewelry and Adornment, a juried call for entries that embraces the concept of imperfections and inconsistencies in works of art. Makers are encouraged to submit examples offering a range of perspectives on this topic. Works that investigate aspects of the human condition, natural phenomena, and pattern disruptions, for example, merely are suggestions for a subject that has many points of entry. Learn more.

MIT Residential Scholar Residential Scholar positions are open to current MIT faculty and instructors, as well as visiting scholars from other institutions and experts from disciplines and professions outside of MIT. A total of seven residential scholar positions are available in New House’s International House community, Maseeh Hall, New Vassar, and Simmons Hall. Appointments can be for a semester or a full academic year. Residential scholars receive a meal plan and an apartment offered at below-market rates similar to other on-campus graduate housing apartments. MIT is currently accepting inquiries for all seven opportunities for the 2024-25 academic year. Call to Artists The Studio Door art gallery in San Diego, CA is currently accepting entries for PROUD+, the seventh national exhibition of LGBTQIA+ visual arts running from July 2 – Aug 3, 2024. This exhibition had become a San Diego tradition bringing artists from across the nation to celebrate during San Diego Pride Month in July.
