Call to Artists Newburyport Art Association (NAA) invites members and non-members to submit to “We Share One Sky.” Subject matter can respond to the words ‘we share one sky’, lesser-known perspectives of Newburyport and our coastal region, and/or focus on non-traditional approaches or imagery. Berkshires Artist Residency The Berkshire Art Center’s (BAC) Berkshire Artist Residency Program pairs local artists with cultural institutions and historic landmarks throughout the region. Artists have the opportunity to create new work, reflect on their artistic visions, and participate in an Artist Talk to discuss their experience while exhibiting their work. Preference given to full time Berkshire County residents. Learn more.

Call for Art Submissions are being accepted for Kaleidoscope: Queer Visions, a queer community art initiative calling for submissions of visual art or workshop proposals. Kaleidoscope: Queer Visions is focused on asking and answering the questions, what does a queer, liberated, collective future look like? What does a queer timeline feel like? What are the moments you’ve missed as a queer person, that you would like to give yourself a version of? Exhibit Dates: May 6 – 11, 2024. Learn more.

Call to Artists Entries are currently being accepted for the Hudson Valley Art Association’s 91st Annual National Juried Exhibition at The Lyme Art Association Gallery in Old Lyme, CT. The HVAA Annual Exhibition jurors are looking for submissions which are original images of representational and traditional realism that display aesthetic appeal and technical skill. Learn more.

Call to Artists The Cape Cod Museum of Art is accepting entries for their International Juried Exhibition 2024. The exhibition will be prominently featured at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in our expansive Hope / McClennen Exhibition Hall. All interpretations on the theme of Departures will be reviewed by internationally recognized artist, curator and gallery owner Nick Lawrence! Three (3) monetary prizes will be awarded by the juror: $500, $200, $100. The theme DEPARTURES is intended to be interpreted broadly. Learn more.

Call to Artists The Hopkington Center for the Arts has announced their nineteenth annual Arts in Bloom exhibition, juried by Claudia Fiks. Arts in Bloom is a competitive juried annual show open to all artists. Claudia will choose the artwork to be exhibited and select six outstanding works for awards. The six winning artists will receive cash prizes totaling over $1,000. The Theme: Harmony of Opposites (Although you may submit artworks that depict flowers, please consider other subjects to make it more interesting for the floral designers). Up to three artworks not shown at HCA may be submitted. All 2D media, including photos, fiber, and digital art, may be entered. The work must be wired for hanging. The maximum height and width for framed wall-hung work is 40 inches. Learn more.

Call to Artists Showcase Your Art in Downtown Brockton in 2024! Making it Public – Brockton seeks innovative and original submissions from visual artists, performers, musicians and storytellers to explore themes of Hope & Hopefulness, Light, Creativity, and Community/Unity. We invite submissions which challenge preconceived notions of Brockton, inspire conversation, rise above controversy, and collaborate on a shared vision of the city. As Brockton is New England’s only majority-Black community, preference will be given to artists of color, though any artist is invited to apply. Learn more.

Writers Fellowship The Hyundai Artlab announces the second year of the Artlab Editorial Fellowship for 2024 This fellowship is open to art writers from anywhere in the world, and at any stage of their career. The two selected fellows will be provided $10,000 each to produce three pieces of writing for Artlab Editorial in 2024 and will be paired with one of this year’s Fellowship advisors, Charlotte Kent and Andrew Russeth, for regular one-on-one guidance and mentorship throughout the program. Starlight Square Season 5 Call for Programming Starlight Square is an award-winning, outdoor community venue located at 84 Bishop Allen Drive in Central Square, Cambridge’s only Cultural District. Created by the Central Square Business Improvement District and Flagg Street Studio in 2020, Starlight has since hosted over 300 free performances and public gatherings. In preparation for a June 2024 re-opening, Starlight Square is excited to share this RFP for programming partners. Learn more.

Boston Area Artist Residencies The Boston Center for the Arts seeks artists to join its BCA Studio Residency this fall. This year, thanks to generous support from Wagner Foundation, artists selected for the Fall 2024 Studio Residency program will receive fully awarded studio space for a maximum term of 33 months, from September 15, 2024–June 15, 2027. Call to Artist Entries are currently being accepted for the Mosesian Center for the Arts exhibition, Entwined: Visual and Textual Narratives. Artists are invited to submit work inspired by literature, the written word, folk tales, and tales of all kinds from fairy tales to narratives that are autobiographical or speak of the human condition. Artist Project Funding Creative Capital has an open call to artists welcoming innovative and original new artist project proposals in visual arts, performing arts, film/moving image, technology, literature, multidisciplinary, and socially engaged forms. The Creative Capital Award provides unrestricted project grants which can be drawn down over a multi-year period, bespoke professional development services, and community-building opportunities. Call to Artists ImageOut Art and Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) invite artists to submit their work for the forthcoming juried exhibition Queering Democracy: Art, Identity, and Politics in 2024. We welcome 2D, 3D, and electronic media that showcases experiences, emotions, and thoughts on the evolving struggle for LGBTQIA+ rights and representation; channels queer history, beauty, politics, fierceness, and fabulousness; are documentary in nature, recording and reflecting on our history and current moment. We are especially interested in small series of works exploring these themes. Learn more.
