Poetry, Translations, Essays The Cape Cod Poetry Review is now accepting submissions for its second issue. The journal seeks previously unpublished poetry, interviews, translations and essays. The journal aims to showcase the talent of local Cape Cod poets and writers, but content is not limited to topics relating to Cape Cod, nor are off-Cape authors excluded from submitting. Learn more.

Photographers The Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown, MA, is accepting entries for their annual juried photography competition. Work may not exceed 5′ x 5′. This year’s juror is Arlette Kayafas. Learn more.

Screenwriters Entries are being accepted for the 2013 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting competition. As many as five $35,000 fellowships will be awarded in November. Open to any individual who has not earned a total of more than $25,000 from the sale or option of screenplays or teleplays. Learn more.

Emerging Artists  Real Art Ways has announced their call to emerging artists for their STEP UP 2013 exhibition. STEP UP is a series of six solo exhibitions open to emerging artists living in New York, New Jersey or New England. Learn more.

Call for Artists The Kingston Cultural Council  in partnership with the Jones River Village Historical Society are looking for artists to participate in their first Art in the Park festival to be held August 4, 2013. All items for sale must be designed and handcrafted by the artist. Learn more.

Call for Artists Darger HQ is a new on-line platform for presenting important, international, emerging artists’ work to new collectors. Owned and run by artists, Darger HQ is submitting it’s second call for artists to be represented. Darger HQ exhibits art in every media and is looking for art that is intelligent, well-crafted and not afraid to push the boundaries. Learn more.

Poetry Entries are now being accepted for the 12th Annual Gival Press Oscar Wilde Award. This award will be given to the best previously unpublished original poem written in English (of any length, in any style, typed, double spaced on one side only), which best relates gay/lesbian/bisexual / transgender life by a poet who is 18 or older.
