Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowships The Mass Cultural Council is currently accepting Artist Fellowships applications in Crafts, Dramatic Writing, Film & Video, Music Composition, Photography, and Sculpture/Installation/New Genres. Learn more to apply. Questions? Attend an Office Hours virtual meet-up (January 6, 2021 from 10-11:30 am) with Mass Cultural Council program staff (that’s us here at ArtSake) about the Artist Fellowships process.

Webinars with Arts Administrators Arts Administration Association New England is holding a series of “Sip and Chat” webinars with arts administrators from the region. The next discussion is January 7, 2021, 4 PM, featuring Dan Sullivan, Head of Growth & Partnerships, CUSEUM; Kit Jenkins, Executive Director, Raw Arts Work; and Victoria Boyer, Program and Event Manager, Mural Arts Philadelphia.

Call for Artists Entries are currently being accepted for The Big Tent: Hopkington Center for the Arts Members Show, February 5 – March 16, 2021. Learn more.

Call to New Media Artists Open Call 2021 Wheaton Biennial: final_final_FINAL is focused on New Media and juried by Legacy Russel, Associate Curator of Exhibitions at The Studio Museum in Harlem and author of Glitch Feminism. The exhibition will be presented virtually March 18-May 22, 2021 by the Beard and Weil Galleries at Wheaton College in Norton, MA. New Media encompasses art created with new technologies, including animation, games, 3D printing, video, sound, and interactive work as well as traditional mediums enhanced with technology such as drawing, photography, performance, and writing. Financial Program for Boston Artists of Color The Boston Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture will be underwriting ten spots in Assets for Artists’ Capacity Building Program, formerly know as the Matched Savings Program. This program will allow ten artists access to a matched savings grant, professional development workshops, and 1:1 career consultation opportunities. This year our partnership in this program focuses on artists of color. Learn more.

Call to Cape Cod Artists The Town of Barnstable is currently accepting applications for artists and artisans interested in participating in the 2021 Hyannis HYARTS Artist Shanty season, May through October and November & December. Applications are received on rolling basis until all spots are filled. Applications can be submitted online. For more information contact Melissa Chartrand, Arts & Culture Coordinator.

Call to Artists The Archive of Documentary Arts at Duke University’s David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library is accepting submissions for our 2020-2021 Collection Awards. This year we are seeking to add to the Archive up to four projects focused on racial inequality in the United States. All submissions must be a finished body of work. We cannot accept works-in-progress regardless of their proposed completion date. They highly encourage BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and documentary artists working in their own communities to apply. Each award comes with an honorarium of $3,500. Learn more.
