Of Note, Free Marine Debris for Artists: The Marine Debris and Plastics Program at the Center for Coastal Studies, in Provincetown will be hosting a week-long shoreline cleanup on five of the Boston Harbor Islands and we anticipate removing tons and tons of wood, plastic and metal debris items. Working closely with the state, the national park and many non-profit organizations and volunteers, over 100 people will engage in the effort to clear the islands of debris.They are interested in diverting the materials from the waste stream as much as possible, and would like to invite artists from all disciplines to partake in the process! Project Grant Commemorating the American Revolution The Massachusetts 250 Grant Program supports the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. It will fund projects that highlight historic themes of revolution and independence, celebrate significant “firsts” in Massachusetts history, or take a creative or innovative approach to commemorating the state’s past 250 years. Grants will range from $5,000 to $100,000. A competitive grant program that will award funds to support programming and interpretation that tell the stories of the American Revolution in Massachusetts and increase tourism and travel to and within Massachusetts. New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park 2025 Artist-in-Residence Program The Artist-in-Residence program offers selected artists the opportunity to work within the park for three months, engaging with the community and drawing inspiration from New Bedford’s rich cultural heritage. The park boasts these offerings: $2,500 stipend, studio space, $250 stipend for supplies, and professional development opportunities. Artists from all disciplines are encouraged to apply, as the program seeks to nurture creativity across a broad spectrum of artistic practices. Artists, Writers Residencies Applications are currently being accepted for the MacDowell residencies in Peterborough, NH for Spring Summer 2025. MacDowell provides residencies that facilitate a balance between focused work and interaction among architects, composers, filmmakers, interdisciplinary artists, playwrights, visual artists, and writers. Residencies average 30 days in length within a range of 2 to 6 weeks. While in residence, each Fellow will have use of a private studio, three meals a day, and living accommodations, sharing their experience with approximately 25 artists during their stay. Learn more.

Kingston Gallery Center Gallery Exhibition Proposals Kingston Gallery is proposals on a rolling basis for Center Gallery opportunities in the Spring of 2025. The first review for Spring 2025 slots will be September 15, 2024. Kingston Gallery is available to individual artists or groups working in any media for one month exhibitions. The monthly fee for the Center Gallery is $750. The Center Gallery is approximately 100 square feet, totaling 30 linear feet of wall space. First Peoples Fund Native Performing Arts Fellowship The Native Performing Arts Fellowship (NPA) supports Native performing artists, emerging and established, to develop and enhance their skills and knowledge of their craft. Music Composer Award The Ellis Beauregard Foundation, based in Rockland, Maine, is offering a $50,000.00 award to a virtuoso composer. $50,000 commission to compose a new orchestral work, 15 to 20 minutes in length, to be premiered by the Bangor Symphony Orchestra during their ’24-’25 season. The competition is open to composers who currently live in the United States, ages 18 and over. Composers may be at any stage of their careers. BIPOC Artist Exchange and Activation Initiative The BIPOC Artist Exchange and Activation Initiative is designed to showcase the contributions of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists to the New England art community. This program empowers BIPOC artists in New Hampshire and New England, inspiring local BIPOC artists by introducing them to artists from outside our community.
