Call for Musicians Chicopee’s Center Fresh Farmers Market is seeking musicians to perform as our live music acts at each market. New England Creatives TD Garden has launch a new program called Causeway Creators, an initiative to celebrate New England’s vibrant creative community by commissioning local talent to create bespoke gifts for the world-renowned musicians, entertainers, and special guests who perform at the sports and entertainment arena. The program is open to both emerging and established creatives working across a wide range of mediums, including painting, illustration, sculpture, woodworking, textiles, mixed media, and more. Applicants from across New England will be evaluated on artistic quality, originality, craftsmanship, and their ability to create custom concepts inspired by TD Garden events and performances. Selected artists will have opportunities throughout the year to be commissioned for exclusive concert and event-related projects, helping showcase Boston’s creative community through high-profile collaborations while generating meaningful exposure for local creative businesses. Composers Back Bay Choral is accepting applications for the 2026 Carol Commission Competition. They welcome submissions from established and emerging composers alike. Your carol need not be explicitly religious — they seek all works that capture the warmth, wonder, and timeless resonance of the season in fresh and meaningful ways. Each year, the Back Bay Chorale will commission a brand-new carol that embodies the spirit of the season and premieres at our beloved A Boston Christmas concerts at Old South Church. The winning composer will receive a $ 2,500 prize and the opportunity to hear their work brought to life by their 100-voice ensemble. Applications are reviewed by a panel of internationally recognized artists and should include a proposal and a portfolio of existing work. Of Note: The Massachusetts Storyteller of the Year Award, launched in 2025, honors artists and changemakers who deepen our understanding of Massachusetts, its communities, and the power of the humanities to shape a more just future. This year, the event is being hosted by Mass Humanities, in partnership with Mass Cultural Council and the Governor’s Office. This year’s ceremony honors Afro-Puerto Rican dance and music group Bomba de Aquí, as well as Monte Belmonte and Kaliis Smith of New England Public Media’s The Fabulous 413. Artists-in-Residence 2026 Back for its second year, the Photographic Resource Center (PRC) Artist-in-Residence Program provides two artists working in photography and lens-based media with four weeks of studio space, mentorship, a $500 stipend, and a final exhibition. New this year, selected artists will also have access to a digital lab, darkroom, and alternative process lab through a partnership with Lesley University. Learn more.

MacDowell Residency Fellowship About 300 artists in seven disciplines are awarded Fellowships each year and the sole criterion for acceptance is artistic excellence. There are no residency fees, and need-based stipends and travel reimbursement grants are available to open the residency to the broadest possible community of artists. MacDowell encourages applications from artists of all backgrounds and all countries in the following disciplines: architecture, film/video, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theatre, and visual arts. Any applicant whose proposed project does not fall clearly within one of these artistic disciplines should contact the admissions department for guidance. The Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowship Program The Radcliffe Fellowship Creative Arts track is open for the 2027–2028 fellowship year at Harvard Radcliffe Institute in Cambridge. The fellowship supports artists and writers pursuing ambitious projects during a nine-month residential fellowship. Fellows receive a $78,000 stipend, an additional $5,000 for project expenses, and housing and moving stipends are available. Creative Arts applicants apply under discipline-specific categories, including film and video, visual arts, fiction, poetry, playwriting, and music composition. Learn more.
