The New Tax Law and the Arts

The Somerville Media Center has created an interesting and substantive video about the new tax law, passed December 2017, and its possible impact on the Massachusetts arts community. Moderator Anabel Vázquez Rodríguez is joined by Emily Ruddock from MASSCreative and Tonja Mettlach from the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network. They discuss, among other things, how a reduction in the number of taxpayers who can itemize deductions may decrease donations to cultural nonprofits, and what organizations can do to mitigate the effects.
