Lynda Schlosberg is a Mass Cultural Council Painting Fellow ’20 who has a new solo exhibition, Never Forgotten, at the Kingston Gallery in Boston. Her paintings entwine the experience of losing her mother, reuniting with a long lost love after 40 years, and enduring this once in a lifetime pandemic amid social unrest. Altogether, this solo show navigates the fragile and vulnerable nature of our most intimate and never-ending connections.
This is a highly personal exhibition, directly inspired by the events, places, and people in her life. It is also fueled by a desire to synthesize physical and non-physical domains. Her interest has always been in a quantum world where an infinite number of potential realities exists and is in a never-ending process of expression and dissipation. While that focus still exists, the events of this past year have pulled her further down into the physical plane in an attempt to navigate the fragile and vulnerable nature of our most intimate and never-ending connections.
