Here’s a healthy snack pack of current local area opportunities that are to be nibbled upon, one bite at a time:
The Artadia awards are a big, delicious financial opportunity for visual artists living and working in metro Boston. Artists working in all media and at any point in their career are strongly encouraged to apply.
Villa Victoria Center for the Arts has a call to artists for their 2009 Juried Group Show. This year’s juror is Jen Mergel, Associate Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston.
PIXILERATIONS [V.6] invites artists, musicians and film/video makers to submit work that investigates the current economic collapse which has reset thinking across all sectors of the social and cultural landscape. Submissions might respond to establishing new directions in politics, the environment and culture. They are also looking for work that makes use of mobile technologies and encourage work that crosses physical with digital media.
And the good people at Platform2 have sent out a call for participaton called Iconography of Climate Change. It’s a digital silkscreen production workshop with Robert DaVies this coming Sunday May 10, 1-5pm Stutdio 9:43 @ The Distillery, 516 East Second Street, South Boston, MA.
