Cultural organizations face a variety of potential threats, from human-made and natural disasters, to electrical failures. These emergencies can put yourself, your audience, your equipment, and even the future of your organization at risk. This two-hour workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of creating an emergency plan, along with an interactive activity focused on identifying, evaluating, and reducing risks unique to their organization. Participants will leave with a strong idea of their next steps and where to turn to for further resources. This workshop is provided for free to nonprofit cultural organizations by the Mass Cultural Council, in partnership with the Northeast Document Conservation Center and the Performing Arts Readiness community.
