There ain’t no cure for the summertime blues, or is there? The Arts on the Arcade are looking for artists to sell their work in Boston this summer. If you’re interested in selling your work at the arcade by Boston city hall, you can send an email to John Connolly at john.connolly@cityofboston.gov to request an application. Some people say that Boston City Hall’s art brut design kind of looks like the backside of an upside down penny. Next time you are there, judge for yourself.
Brrr, someone is already thinking ice sculptures and mittens and hot chocolate. Apparently it’s not too soon to start thinking about wintertime opportunities, so First Night 2010 in Boston is now accepting proposals in all visual and performing arts disciplines.
And more on the wintertime front: Project Bread is looking for art and photographic submissions for its holiday card program. Contact Sasha Didier at 617-239-2502 or Sasha_Didier@projectbread.org with any questions.
Enough about winter. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t even dipped a toe in the frigid Atlantic Ocean yet, or dug out the bathing suit this spring. Geez. Gotta run. I think I hear the ice cream truck coming.
