Call to Latina Artists Lynn Arts is now accepting entries for Latin Local, an exhibition to support the the Lynn Hispanic Scholarship Fund. The juror is Anabel Vázquez-Rodr­íguez, Curator and Manager of LA GALERÍA at Villa Victoria Center for the Arts. Learn more.
Drop-off Deadline: July 21, 2011, 12-8pm; July 22, 2011, 10am-4pm; July 23, 2011, 11am-4pm.

Women Writers Applications are now being accepted for the A Room Of Her Own’s 2011 Orlando Prize for Poetry, Creative Nonfiction, Flash Fiction, and Short Fiction. Read more.
Deadline: July 31, 2011

Call for Art by War Veterans The UMass Fine Arts Center and the Springfield Vet Center, in collaboration with the UMass Veterans Services and the Veterans Education Project of Amherst will present Creative Expressions: An Art Exhibit by War Veterans at the UMass Student Union Art Gallery in November. Work must be created by a veteran of any combat area. Open to all subject matters. Medium accepted – 2D, 3D, video, written word. Learn more or email with questions.

Plein Air Painters The Plein Air Meet Up Group meets weekly on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm at various locations in the Pioneer Valley. Email for more info and locations.
