Exhibition Proposals The Fort Point Arts Community Gallery is seeking proposals in all media (painting, sculpture, photography, multimedia, other) for five shows for the 2018-19 season (Fall 2018-Spring 2019). Each show must include at least two exhibiting artists. We invite proposals from exhibiting artists and from curators collaborating with exhibiting artists. The juror for the season is Sam Toabe, a curator and art historian based in Boston. At the University of Massachusetts Boston, he is Gallery Curator at the University Hall Gallery for the Art Department and Director of Arts on the Point. Learn more.

Call for Artists Fountain Street gallery seeks regionally-based artists to join its gallery membership as core member artists. The gallery showcases a diverse range of contemporary art in a supportive environment that encourages experimentation and growth. Core membership is designed for artists who are looking to be a part of a well-run, dynamic collective of emerging and established artists, and to exhibit in a well-respected Boston gallery. Fiber Artists The BNN Neighborhood Art Gallery is looking for fiber artists to display during August and September 2018. Work can not exceed 30″ x 30″. Learn more.

Exhibition Proposals The 2019 HBI ARTIST PROGRAM provides an artist the opportunity to have a solo exhibition for twelve weeks at the Kniznick Gallery at Brandeis University starting March 2019. They invite proposals that relate to the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute’s mission of developing fresh ideas about Jews and gender. Learn more.

Music Performance Grants Music Drives Us offers Performance Grants to support musicians who have a passion for the shared musical performance experience. New England musicians providing free concerts in New England that incorporate an educational component are eligible to apply. Music Drives Us supports varied musical genres such as jazz, classical music, blues, rock and roll, or international music. Learn more.

Performing Artists The New England States Touring grant program provides support for performances and activities by New England artists in the New England states, with grants ranging from $400 to $4,000. Learn more.

New Plays Inspired by Shakespeare American Shakespeare Center is now accepting play submissions for its Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries project. The current call is seeking plays inspired by or in conversation with Othello, Henry IV, Part II, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, or Cymbeline. The prize includes a $25,000 award, plus travel and housing to Staunton, VA for rehearsal and production. Learn more.

Furniture Artists Fellowship Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 John D. Mineck Furniture Fellowship award of $25,000 given annually to support a talented young-in-career furniture artist in succeeding on their journey as a craftsperson. The fellowship has been designed to help support a talented furniture artist looking to fulfill an apprenticeship, develop skills, and/or make the transition to independence. A successful applicant will be a contemporary and functional artist living and working in the Northeast committed to growing as a maker and establishing a career in furniture. Learn more.

Literary Awards PEN America is currently accepting submissions for the 2019 PEN Literary Awards.  Book submissions will be accepted from June 1, 2018 through August 15, 2018. Learn more.

Printmakers All professional artists are invited to participate in the Mini Prints Berlin open call. The exhibition is a newly established exhibition and will become a recurrent event arranged by Galleri Heike Arndt DK in Berlin. Learn more.
