North Shore Artists  Entries are now being accepted from artists residing on the North Shore of Massachusetts for the spring exhibit Transformation, co-sponsored by The Gallery at Porter Mill and North Shore Art*Throb. The juror is Susan Halter, Executive Director of LynnArts. Learn more.

Iceland Residency Space is available for the spring and autumn artist residency at the Nes Art Residency Space in Skagastrond, Iceland. One to six month residencies available for listamenn/artists. Learn more.

SOWA Open Market The SoWa Open Mar­ket in Boston is a juried mar­ket. All appli­cants are reviewed for accep­tance. Their goal is to have a wide vari­ety of prod­ucts offered at the mar­ket with lit­tle or no dupli­ca­tion. Appli­ca­tions for the fol­low­ing types of vendors are accepted: artists, independent designers, artisans, musi­cians. Learn more.

Crafts and Fine Arts The First Annual Juried Arts Marketplace: Pawtucket at the Armory Center is now accepting submissions for inclusion in the marketplace this fall. Learn more.

Visual Artists Field Projects in Chelsea, NY, is now accepting entries from emerging and mid-career artists for consideration for their April exhibition Show#4. All of the submissions they receive will be considered not only for Show #4 but also for their upcoming exhibition calendar. Artists working in all mediums are welcome to apply.  Learn more.

Metro Cambridge Area Artists CSArt (see ArtSake article on past CSArt program) is looking for artists interested in selling original works of art that can be produced in a limited edition of 50 and sold at a profit. Artists who are selected to participate in CSArt will receive a $1,500 stipend. The challenge will be to design a product that is appealing, well made, and low cost and then to complete 50 pieces by September 1, 2012. Learn more.

Artist Residency The Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) is now accepting applications for their Artist Residency Program. The program aims to provide an environment where artists can experiment with their craft, develop their focus or test new ideas and simultaneously engage in public dialogue in a way that is considerate to the artist’s time and process. Artists receive a $2,250 honorarium. Learn more.

2-D media The Milton Art Museum is now accepting entries for a juried exhibition of 2D work. The juror is Nahid Khaki, Owner and Director of Khaki Gallery in Boston. Learn more

Visual Artists Entries are now being accepted for the open juried show All Cape Cod. All Cape Cod is a national call to artists with a Cape Cod theme.  Work completed in  oil, acrylic, pastel painting, watermedia, printmaking, mixed media, drawing, fine art photography, and scultpure are accepted. Writers From Midway Journal: “Have stories, poems, and essays about fire-eating bearded ladies, man-eating paper flowers, or two headed penguins smoking cigars in a Roman bath? Then we have the contest for you: Monstrosities of the Midway Literary Contest.” All entries to the contest, which is open to authors in all genres, should consider the theme, “Monstrosities of the Midway.” Entry fee is $15. Grand prize is $1000 and publication in Midway Journal. Authors Amy King and Ana Bozicevic will judge. Learn more.

Photographers The Cape Cod Art Association is now accepting entries for the open juried show The Big Picture, sponsored by the Photography Center of Cape Cod. The exhibition will be at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. Learn more.
