Playwright Residency Applications are now being The UMass (Amherst)New Play Lab Paid Residencies. Two playwrights will be chosen for concurrent 10-day residencies during the mainstage production period of their scripts as public staged readings directed and dramaturged by UMass graduate students and performed by UMass undergraduate actors. Fringe Festival Performers New Orleans Fringe Festival (November 20-24, 2013) is seeking weird, wild, fresh and original theatre pieces from emerging artists. Open to any type of theatre performance, including cabaret, comedy, dance, drama, improvisational, magic, multimedia, musical theatre, performance art, puppetry, storytelling, variety, burlesque, spoken word, and street theatre. Writers: So It Goes The Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library is now accepting submissions for its second annual edition of So It Goes: The Literary Journal of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library. This is an exciting opportunity for creative Kurt Vonnegut readers everywhere to help us continue our annual literary tradition. Accepting poetry, creative nonfiction, short fiction, original artwork, and/or photography related to the theme of “humor.” Submissions are limited to one work of prose (maximum 1500 words) or up to five poems, photographs, and/or works of art. Photographers The Danforth Museum in Framingham, MA is currently accepting entries for the New England Photography Biennial 2013. Photographers over the age of 18, who live or work in New England (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT) may enter.
