Of Note: Join Mass Cultural Council on June 25, 2026 at 11:00 am, for a virtual celebration of our sector and the public investments made into arts and culture throughout FY26. All Mass Cultural Council grant recipients, Local Cultural Council and Tribal Cultural Council members, Cultural District representatives, and cultural sector stakeholders are invited to join Agency staff for this event. Creative Sabbatical Ragdale’s Creative Sabbatical program was established to broaden access to their historic campus, providing individual artists, writers curators, designers, and arts administrators with dedicate residency time outside of their juried sessions. Ideal for those seeking to re-engage with their work, venture into new creative territory, or step away from daily demands to reconnect with their practice, these four-day, three-night stays offer the focused time and supportive environment that Ragdale is known for. These shorter residencies in Lake Forest, IL, are 4 days and 3 nights, and open to all disciplines with applications reviewed on a rolling basis. Space is available for July 7-10, 2026. Learn more.

Cross Sector Event The Edgerley Center for Civic Leadership at the Boston Foundation presents An Uncertain Future: How the Immigration Crackdown Threatens MA’s Labor Force, Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Breakfast available at 8:30 a.m. This event will be live-streamed and recorded. Public Art Impact Convening Join The New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) for The Public Art Impact Convening in New Bedford, June 11, 2026. Public art makers, arts administrators, advocates and funders are invited to join  for a day of connection, learning, and reflection at the Public Art Impact Convening. There will be opportunities to connect along with the spotlighting and celebrating of the powerful work of their grantees as they share preliminary findings from NEFA’s Public Art Impact Assessment and the ripple effects of NEFA’s public art investments in Massachusetts and the New England region from 2020-2025. Of Note: Join Mass Creative in New Bedford on June 12, 2026,  for “Art, Culture and Creativity as Civic Infrastructure,” an annual statewide convening of artists, creatives, policy advocates, educators, cultural thought leaders, arts administrators, teaching artists, and public officials in Massachusetts. The Summit features insightful cross-sector panels and workshops to inspire more community organizing, coalition building, and advocacy while centering members of the creative sector.  Attendees can explore four optional learning tracks that will feature a dynamic mix of expert panels, policy discussions, workshops, and case studies designed to support artists in their advocacy, strengthen cultural policy, and deepen civic engagement. They’re also offering a select number of hybrid workshops for those who wish to join virtually.  MASSCreative donors and MASSCreative Action Network members are eligible for discounted tickets. Call for Art The Mosesian Center for the Arts invites Indigenous artists to submit work for In This Place: Watertown Treaty Day Exhibition, on view July 10–August 28, 2026, in conjunction with the 250th Celebration on July 18, 2026. This exhibition is focusing on artwork created by artists with connections to the Mi’kmaq and Maliseet Nations, with all media welcome. Submission is free, with a deadline of June 8. Join us in commemorating this historic anniversary through contemporary artistic voices and perspectives. No submission fee. Limit 3 submissions per artist. Learn more.

Native Performing Arts Fellowship The Native Performing Arts Fellowship (NPA) supports Native performing artists, emerging and established, to develop and enhance their skills and knowledge of their craft. The FPF’s Native Performing Arts Fellowship provides grants of up to $10,000 for Native individuals who practice/work within the performing arts landscape (theater, dance, music, etc.). This is not a project based grant. Developing or completing a creative project can be a component of the fellowship, but does not need to be the primary goal or outcome of your fellowship year. Call to Artists Viridian Artists Gallery is accepting entries for their Summer Juried Exhibition. Juror is Rebecca Ribeiro, curatorial assistant at the Neuberger Museum of Art. The exhibition will run from Tuesday, July 14, through Saturday, August 1, 2026. An Opening Reception will be on Thursday, July 16th from 6 to 8 PM. All artists must submit only original work. No artwork larger than 70 inches in any dimension. Please no AI generated artwork. Entry Fee: $45.00.

Call for Artists: Imagining Gloucester’s Future The City of Gloucester seeks applications from artists or artist teams interested in creating one-of-a-kind window murals on Main Street. Selected artists will be matched with local businesses to create a hand-painted temporary mural on display during the second half of 2026. Artists are encouraged to design murals that will envision the future of Gloucester through community, art, fishing, tourism, geography, and more. Northampton Steamroller Festival Artists wanted for the Northampton Steamroller Festival. Create one-of-a-kind block print artworks, masterfully designed and carved by professional artists and talented university students. Witness the impressive spectacle of a real steamroller bringing these massive prints to life before your eyes. Professional artist will be paid a stipend of $500 plus 1/2 of their print sales. student artist have a stipend of $250 plus half their print sales.  The festival atmosphere will be filled with live music from DJs, delicious offerings from local food trucks, and the opportunity to take home a unique piece of art. Call to Artists TAG The Art Gallery is accepting entries for Uncharted, a juried exhibition exploring discovery, experimentation, transition, and the movement beyond familiar boundaries. Presented at 6 Bridges Gallery in Maynard and online through ARTSY, Uncharted seeks contemporary visual art and craft that embraces curiosity, risk-taking, transformation, and new ways of seeing. As TAG expands its presence beyond Boston, this exhibition also becomes an opportunity to connect with new audiences and communities through art. They welcome a wide range of interpretations and artistic approaches, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass, metalsmith, fiber, photography, mixed media, digital, conceptual, and experimental work. Call for Muralist Mural for the Powder Mill Road Underpass. The Town of Concord seeks an experienced muralist to create a vibrant, permanent mural on the walls of the Powder Mill Road underpass along the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. This project aims to beautify a utilitarian structure, create a memorable landmark along the trail, and enrich the experience of the many cyclists and pedestrians of all ages who travel through this corridor each year. The mural will transform the underpass walls into an engaging work of public art that harmonizes with the natural environment along this section of the trail corridor and brightens the dark underpass with color. Artists aged 18 and over, working individually or in teams. Preference will be given to Massachusetts-based artists with mural experience. The selected artist or creative team will receive a commission of $27,000. Learn more.

Sculptors The Cape Cod Museum of Art (CCMoA) and the New England Sculptors Association (NESA) invite all 3D artists to submit to our third joint Cape Cod Open Sculpture Invitational (CCOSI INSIDE) exhibition. The 2026 theme is open and will be juried by Benton Jones, Director of Art, Cape Cod Museum of Art and Samuel Tager, Executive Director, Provincetown Public Art Foundation. This 10-week indoor exhibition (25-30 works) will be on view from July 23 – November 14th. Entry Fee: $25.00 for up to 3 submissions. Learn more.

Call to Artists The Berkshire Art Association (BAA) invites artists from the New England states and New York to showcase their original art in all media for a biennial juried exhibition, Tune In. All artwork must have been made within the past 2 years. Artists may submit up to 3 works created between 2024-2026 for an entry fee of $25. Learn more.

Call for Cover Art Arlington Community Education (ACE) is seeking submissions for annual catalog cover art contest. Local artists are invited to submit artwork. Three winning artists will each receive $300 and have their artwork featured on ACE catalogs distributed to an audience of more than 50,000. All mediums are welcome. Artists of high school age and older may submit up to four pieces for consideration. Seasonally themed artwork is especially welcome.  Learn more.
