Grinding Up Artist Opportunities

Assets For Artists Grant Program Applications are now available for the Assets For Artists grant program, which caters to low-to-moderate income artists across all disciplines who are interested in accumulating working capital to invest in their creative businesses (past artists have invested in painting supplies, expanded their kiln size, redesigned their websites, recorded studio albums, and made other major improvements.) In addition to grants, they offer arts-specific business and financial training so that artists can grow their businesses more effectively. Artists can receive up to $2,000 dollars in matching grants. Learn more.

Call to Artists The Women’s Caucus for the Arts is seeking entries for Bound, an exhibition at Phoenix Gallery in NYC. Open to all self-identified women artists in the USA. Artists may submit up to three works per entry, all media accepted except giclees of original work. Works may not exceed 40” in width and installations may not exceed 5 sq ft. Learn more.

Call for Cape Cod Artists The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, together with the Cotuit Center for the Arts, announces the sixth year of their collaborative winter exhibit Making Waves. All Cape Cod established and emerging artists are invited to submit their art for consideration for inclusion in making waves. Learn more.

Youth Film & Video Makers The national video & film festival Do It Your Damn Self!! (May 15-18, 2013) is currently accepting entries of film/videos made by teens aged 13-19 and/or children aged 6-12. Entries made and conceived entirely by adults are not accepted. Learn more.
Deadline: November 26, 2012

Playwrights Gallery263 in Cambridge has announced a call for original plays. the specifications are 3o minute works, the setting is an art gallery, and it must have 4 actors or fewer.  5 plays will be selected for performance on January 12, 2013 at Gallery263. The submission fee is $20.00. Inquiries and submissions should be mailed to david@gallery263.com.
