Call for Performers Liars and Believers, in partnership with Arrow Street Arts, invites companies, groups, and individual performing artists to submit works for presentation during the Arrow Street Arts Launch Festival of ASA’s venue at 2 Arrow Street in Cambridge. This festival takes place March 23 to March 31, 2024. We also invite applications for workshops, public classes, readings, or open rehearsals during the week. Production or Post-Production Film Funding Through the Moving Image Fund, LEF Foundation supports the work of New England-based filmmakers across all phases of a project’s production. In November, LEF opened up the Letter of Inquiry (LOI) submission forms for projects in Production and Post-production to award grants of $15,000 and $25,000, respectively. To be eligible for Post-production funding, the project must have already been supported by LEF at a previous stage. You can learn more about how to apply here.

Film Fellowship Boston-area directors who are not affiliated with Harvard are also encouraged to apply to the Harvard FSC-LEF Fellowship with a short or long-form nonfiction project that will be in production or post-production for the 2024–25 academic year. This opportunity, which is separate from the Moving Image Fund, includes a $10,000 grant, access to a pool of production and post-production equipment, and the ability to participate in the Harvard FSC community through work-in-progress screenings, workshops, and other activities. Seaport Art Walk Artists submitting proposals may be eligible for grants of up to $2,500 for new sculptures or murals, with additional honorariums of up to $1,000 available for existing outdoor artworks. Theme: “Call of the Sea.” The Seaport Art Walk 2024 is a juried show, with reviewers from esteemed partnerships including New Bedford Creative Consortium, City of New Bedford’s Parks, Recreation and Beaches and Tourism and Marketing Departments, Massachusetts Design, Art and Technology Institute (DATMA), New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center, UMASS Dartmouth’s College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA), and Bristol Community College (BCC) Visual and Performing Arts Department. Call to Artists & Performers CultureHouse is looking for programming for our Union Square pop-up in Somerville, MA, a free community space for all. We are looking for artists, performers, and creatives of all kinds to put on performances, teach workshops for their disciplines, and more. We encourage events that are in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole. Our Call for Programming is now open and the space will be open from January 10-June 9, 2024, so applications will be rolling. Small stipends provided, all programs must be free to the public.
