
Of Note: MASSCreative’s Creative Sector Summit is an annual convening of cultural thought leaders, artists, creatives, policy advocates, educators, culture bearers, arts administrators, teaching artists, and public officials. Throughout the day, you can expect 16 participatory workshops and cross-sector panel conversations to support your arts activism and community organizing. This year’s Summit is scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Northampton Center for the Arts. Doors will open at 10 AM for networking and a light breakfast. Headlands Center Residency The Headlands Center for the Arts Residency in Sausalito, CA, offers fully sponsored residencies and studios to local, national, and international artists working in all disciplines. The Artist in Residence (AIR) program awards fully sponsored residencies to approximately 50 local, national, and international artists each year. Call for Printmaking and Ceramics NH Art Association invites New England artists to submit work for Clay & Ink, a juried exhibition exploring the relationship between ceramics and printmaking—two process-driven mediums rooted in transformation. From the press to the kiln, both disciplines embrace touch, texture, and technical mastery to create compelling visual narratives. Established by the Legislature, the Commission is dedicated to developing new emblems that truly reflect the shared values, dynamic history, and vibrant diversity of our state. The Commission is inviting all residents, students, educators, historians, artists, and community members of all ages, to participate in this important process. You can submit: sketches or ideas for a new state seal or flag; motto proposals that capture the spirit of Massachusetts. The Commission especially encourages young people to lend their creativity and perspectives to this endeavor. Micro Grants The Awesome Foundation is a global community advancing the interest of awesome in the universe, $1000 at a time. Each fully autonomous chapter supports projects through micro-grants, usually given out monthly. Projects include initiatives in a wide range of areas including arts, technology, community development, and more. Many awesome projects are novel or experimental, and evoke surprise and delight.
