Capacity-Building Program to Cape and Islands Artists Creatives on Cape and Islands encouraged to apply for program which will include $1,000 capital grant. Serves artists of all mediums! Through the program, participants receive one-on-one financial coaching; are guided in creating a business plan; have access to a community cohort of creative peers; and receive a $1,000 working capital grant at the end of program completion. Participants will also attend several webinars, including “Making a Plan in a Time of Uncertainty,” taught by sculptor and artist Laura Baring-Gould; “The Basics of Building a Grant,” taught by poet, writer, and educator Yara Liceaga-Rojas; “Taxes and Money Management,” taught by artist Hannah Cole; and additional workshops as determined by the needs of the cohort. Call for Artists The Connecticut River Conservancy is looking for local artists interested in a chance to have their artwork memorialized on signs that we hope will continue to connect people to the Connecticut River for years to come. We are looking for original artwork to incorporate into a series of educational signs that will share information with the community about the Connecticut River. Artist will be compensated $1000. Grand Canyon Artist in Residence Program This residency provides an artist with fully furnished accommodations in the historic Verkamp’s artist residence directly overlooking the Grand Canyon, Arizona, and a stipend of $2,500 for eight weeks. The program is designed to support artists with a well-developed body of work that engages themes tied to conservation, cultural identity, and community. Learn more.

Local Cultural Council Grants Applications are currently being accepted for Local Cultural Council grants. Applicants may apply to the LCC Program for projects, operating support, ticket subsidy programs, field trips, artist residencies, fellowships or other activities, based on local priorities and needs. LCCs may also choose to fund cultural field trips for children, grades pre-K through 12, by subsidizing the cost for children to attend programs in the arts, humanities, and sciences (including performances, educational tours, and exhibits).
