Student Photo Slam Sign-up for the Photographic Resource Center’s Student Photo Slam on December 8, 2019. All photo students from Emerson, Emmanuel, Endicott, Fitchburg State University, Lesley University, MassArt, NESOP, Northeastern and SMFA are invited to participate. Beginning at 2pm each student will have 10-minutes to present and the Slam will be followed by refreshments in the gallery. To participate: email your name, the name of your school, and 3 jpgs to programs@prcboston.org. Location: Photographic Resource Center, University Hall lower level, 1815 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge. Learn more.

2020 North Louisiana Artist-in-Residence This year’s art residency will allow two artists from across the United States to develop their craft in North Louisiana through engaging with the residency’s theme of Sustaining Local Food Systems. The 2020 North Louisiana AiR will take place over four weeks from March 1st to March 28th. This opportunity will provide two artists the chance to understand the successes and challenges experienced in North Louisiana’s local food system. RLCF will connect their residents with farmers, chefs, organizers, local artists, and community members to help them engage with all aspects of a local food system. The 2020 North Louisiana AiR does not have a specified medium, it is open to any artist wishing to apply. Housing, internet, and some meals will be covered along with a stipend for living expenses. Currently, the North Louisiana AiR is only open to artists living in the United States. Learn more.

Residency Fellowships The Studios is MASS MoCA’s artist residency program situated within the museum’s factory campus and surrounded by the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Operated by MASS MoCA’s program Assets for Artists, the residency runs year-round and hosts up to 12 artists at a time. Artists can apply for stays of 1-8 weeks, though most offered stays are 2-5 weeks. Assets for Artists is now offering several fully funded fellowship opportunities, including a 4-week residency for a Massachusetts-based writer and several university fellowships including ones for MFA students at BU and MassArt. Call to Artists The Cultural Center of Cape Code invites artists to submit work to I SEE FRANCE. In honor of I See France a new book written by Meg McNamara, aka CeCe DeLuc, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod invites artists worldwide to submit work that depicts memories of France. From Paris to Normandy to Mont Saint-Michel, France has a story to tell. What is France through your perspective. All media will be considered except film. Learn more.

Call to Artists The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center is accepting applications for one and/or two person exhibits at their gallery for the 2020 season. Shows are 1-2 months in duration. Proposals should include 10-15 images of artwork, résumé/CV and an artist statement. Submissions should be sent to info@carvingstudio.org. Learn more.

Call to Artists Limner Gallery is currently accepting entries for their exhibition NEOTERIC ABSTRACT VIII, – a call for a thematic exhibition dedicated to abstract art. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery, April 2 – May 25, 2020 and is open to all forms of abstraction, from the geometric to the lyrical, from the precise to the raw. Learn more.

Call for Performers Applications for the 29th Annual San Francisco Fringe Festival are now being accepted. The San Francisco Fringe Festival is part of the “Fringe movement” – a worldwide network of indie theatre festivals. As the name suggest, the movement is about celebrating under-represented voices and those on the margins of the performing arts world. Learn more.
