Laura Christensen (Photography Finalist ’21) and Keith Maddy (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’16) both have work in the group exhibition Complex Muses at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury (thru 9/4).
Mary Jane Doherty (Film & Video Finalist ’11) and Mary Patierno (Film & Video Fellow ’21) both received LEF Foundation Moving Image Fund Grants.
Steven Duede (Photography Finalist ’17), James Dye (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’22), Madge Evers (Photography Finalist ’21), Molly Lamb (Photography Fellow ’15), Astrid Reischwitz (Photography Finalist ’21), and Claudia Ruiz Gustafson (Photography Finalist ’21) are among the artists in the Danforth Annual Juried Exhibition (thru 9/18), with James Dye and Claudia Ruiz Gustafson receiving prize honors.
Ryan Edwards, Sam Okerstrom-Lang, Caleb Hawkins, and Jeremy Stewart (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellows ’21), aka MASARY Studios, and Aya Yamasaki Brown and Jason Brown (Film & Video Fellows ’17), aka Opertura, have work in Boston Cyberarts’ Art on the Marquee this Fall.
Chris Faust (Painting Fellow ’10), Judy Haberl (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’95), and Liz Nofziger (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’05) are exhibiting in Alpha 60, an augmented reality (AR) exhibition of 19 artists, by Boston Cyberarts in the Emerald Necklace of Boston (thru 9/30).
Mags Harries (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’03), Ilana Manolson (Painting Fellow ’22, ’08), Youjin Moon (Film & Video Finalist ’17), Anne Neely (Painting Finalist ’10), Evelyn Rydz (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’22, ’10), and Heidi Whitman (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’21) are exhibiting in the group show UNDERCURRENTS: Water + Human Impact at Concord Art (thru 8/16).
Masako Kamiya (Painting Fellow ’10, ’06), Wilhelm Neusser (Painting Finalist ’22, ’20), and Michael Zachary (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’18) are exhibiting in the group show Field Visions at the Boston University Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery (6/14-9/14, reception 6/18, 6 PM ET).

Gillian Christy (Crafts Fellow ’21) has a solo exhibition, Tabernacle Tableau, at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury (7/17-9/18, opening reception 7/17 1-4 PM ET).
Sean Downey (Painting Fellow ’14) has a solo exhibition, Why Each Perfumed Flower, at LaMontagne Gallery in Boston (thru 7/30).
Beth Galston (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’13, ’84) exhibits the installation Unraveling Oculus at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center (thru 10/10). The artist is also in residence at Chesterwood in Stockbridge this month, creating the site-specific installation Ice Forest (7/15-10/25, opening reception 7/15, 5 PM ET).
Joel Janowitz (Painting Fellow ’16, ’08, ’79, ’75) has a solo exhibition at Provincetown Art Association & Museum (6/24-7/24).
Zehra Khan (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’12) has a solo exhibition, Your Everyday Myths, at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (6/24-8/28, opening reception 7/22, 6-8 PM ET, lecture 8/4, 6 PM ET).
Julie Levesque (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’05) exhibits at the Rice Polak Gallery in Provincetown (7/7-7/20, opening reception 7/8 7 PM ET).
Holly Lynton‘s (Photography Fellow ’13) debut photography book Bare Handed is forthcoming from L’Artiere Edizioni.
Keith Maddy (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’16) has a solo exhibition, Inner Flight, at Howard Yezerski Gallery (6/24-7/30, opening reception 6/24, 5-8 PM). As mentioned above, he’s also in the group exhibition Complex Muses at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury (thru 9/4).
Steven Martin (Dramatic Writing Finalist ’13) wrote and directed the film Unplayed Lullaby will have its world premiere in Hyannis (7/28).
Tara Lynn Masih‘s (Fiction/Creative Nonfiction Finalist ’96) novel My Real Name Is Hanna was one of five fiction books recommended by School Library Journal in “Resources to Help Students Process the Russian Invasion of Ukraine.”
Andrew Mowbray (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’12) has work in Use It at Drive-By Projects in Watertown (thru 8/13).
Wilhelm Neusser (Painting Finalist ’22, ’20) is exhibiting in the group shows I’ll See You Again, Soon at Abigail Ogilvy Gallery (thru 7/17), Field Visions at the Boston University Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery (thru 9/14), and in the art KARLSRUHE fair in Baden-Württemberg, Germany (7/7-7/10).
Allison Maria Rodriguez (Film & Video Finalist ’21) is among the artists featured in the New England Triennial at the deCordova Sculpture Park & Museum (thru 9/11), with artists also exhibiting at Fruitlands Museum.
Zhidong Zhang (Photography Fellow ’21) was recently profiled and interviewed by ID Magazine for an upcoming exhibition at Le CRP in Douchy-les-Mines, France.
