Visual Artists The Arsenal Center for the Arts is seeking the work of artists from the Greater Boston area for a Small Works winter exhibition. The work will be exhibited on the third floor gallery of the center and Arsenal Center for the Arts will retain 40% on sale of works. Work must be smaller than 12” x 12”. All mediums are accepted – the work can be 2D or 3D but must be priced under $300. A maximum of 4 pieces per artist will be chosen, but up to 10 pieces can be submitted for consideration. Please submit all works in JPEG format (images no larger then 300dpi- jpeg). Include name, address, phone number, and email address on corresponding numbered sheet with title, medium, size and price of each piece. Please also include resume and artist statement. Photography The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Department of Art History is inviting artists to submit photographic works in response to the theme: the changing urban identities of post-industrial mid-size American cities. The works should specifically explore the past, present and future of “Gateway” cities in Massachusetts such as New Bedford, Fall River, Brockton, Fitchburg, Haverhill, Holyoke, Lawrence, Lowell, Pittsfield, Springfield, and Worcester. Works done in all photographic media are encouraged. The exhibition will be curated by Pamela Karimi, Thomas Stubblefield, Patricia Daughton and Laura Ryan with the works on display at the New Bedford Art Museum in January 2013. Entry Procedure: 1. Artists submit up to three digital images. All digital files must be JPEG Image width not to exceed 1500 pixels on the longest side and at least 1024 pixels. Files should be titled as LastName_FirstName_Number_Title. A brief artist statement and biography should accompany the work.
