National Latino Playwriting Award  Submissions for the 2016 National Latino Playwriting Award are now being accepted. Latino playwrights residing in the United States, its territories or Mexico are encouraged to apply. Each script will be read and evaluated by a culturally diverse panel of theatre artists. Finalists will be judged by Arizona Theatre Company artistic staff. Learn more.

Choreographers Fusionworks Dance Company invites choreographers from the Northeastern region of United States to submit their work to the 2016 Northeast Choreographers Festival to be presented in November of 2016 in Providence, RI. This year’s festival will showcase the works of four emerging and established choreographers from the Northeastern U.S. Three finalists will be paid a $1,000 stipend to do a week-long residency in either May, June, or August, during which they will set their work on Fusionworks Dance Company. Learn more.

Artist and Writers Residency The Provincetown Community Compact offers visual artists and writers residencies as well as week stays for the public in the Cape Cod National Seashore. Learn more.

Call for Art The Peninsula Fine Arts Center in Newport News, Virginia, invites artists and craftspersons over 18 years of age to submit visual arts works for the Biennial juried exhibition, held since 1975. Awards totaling $4,000 include a $2,000 Best in Show. Learn more.
Deadline: January 15, 2016

Call for Artists ArtsWorcester and the Worcester Center for Crafts are exhibiting the next generation: regional artists in the early-to-mid stages of their careers, born since 1975. All artistic and craft media are eligible. Artists must live and/or work in Worcester County or the following communities of Middlesex County: Lowell, Stow, Hudson, Marlborough, Framingham, Ashland, Hopkinton, and Holliston. Public Art The Portland, Maine Public Art Committee has announced an open call for artists for a public art commission in downtown Portland. Also, the city of Portland has posted a Request for Qualifications for redesign of Congress Square. Learn more information about both calls.

Call for Boston LGBTQIA Artists Post-Gay? is an invitation from the BLAA (a LGBTQIA group committed to providing support, resources, and community to Boston-based artists) to LGBTQIA artists in and around Boston. The exhibition will be at the Distillery Gallery in Boston. Learn more.
Deadline: February 1, 2016 (midnight)

Call to Artists Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Gallery is inviting artists to submit their artwork in any medium for their juried exhibit What Have We Got to Lose? For this exhibit, artists are invited to submit their personal perceptions and impassioned images of what we may lose due to climate change. The jurors are Diana Hampe and Claudia Michael. Entry fee is $15 for up to five images in print format only (not matted or framed) for judging purposes only (minimum size 8”x10”). If selected for the show, all artwork needs to be framed appropriately and ready to hang (meeting quality standards). Email jngoba@massaudubon.org for more information.
