Playwrights Submissions are now being accepted for the the 14th Annual Boston Theater Marathon to be held May 20, 2012, at the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. Learn more.

Watercolor Artists  The American Watercolor Society is now accepting entries for their 145th Annual International Exhibition (April 3-22, 2012) . Learn more. Questions: 212-206-8986 or info@americanwatercolorsociety.org.

Printmakers The Highpoint Center for Printmaking is now accepting entries for their Stand Out Prints, a national print exhibition to be held in the late winter of 2012. The exhibition will fill HP’s 1000+ square foot gallery space. The opening reception will be Friday, February 24 from 6:30-9 PM. Juror: Susan Inglett, founder of Editions|Artists’ Book Fair in NYC as well as IC Editions & the Susan Inglett Gallery. A second juror as well as cash prizes and possible purchase awards are to be announced. Learn more.

Playwrights The Playwrights’ Center’s Jerome Fellowships program is now accepting applications. The awards provide emerging American playwrights with funds and services to aid them in the development of their craft. Four $16,000 fellowships will be awarded in 2012-13, in addition to $1,500 in development support. Fellows spend a year-long residency in Minnesota receiving Center opportunities, including a workshop with a professional director, dramaturg, and actors. . Learn more.

Women Artists Entries are now being accepted for the exhibition Momentum, designed to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Women’s Caucus for Art. The exhibition will present the art and ideas of intergenerational contemporary women artists. They are seeking works in any medium of any size that address the past and the future; what has influenced you as an artist, looking back over the past 40 years of women in the arts. Open to all U.S. self-identified women artists. Juried by Rita Gonzalez, Associate Curator in the Department of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Learn more.

Residencies Creative Arts Residencies are available at the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center in Bellagio, Italy. The four-week residencies will occur between August and November, 2012. Open to composers, novelists, playwrights, poets, video/filmmakers, and visual artists. Learn more. Questions: bellagio_res@iie.org.

Playwrights Outworks 2012, a festival of LGBTQ themed one-act plays produced by Louisiana State University Department of Theatre is now accepting entries. Scripts must be LGBTQ themed and should be between 10-20 minutes long. Six winners will receive $150 each, three staged performances, and production videotape. Two submissions per playwright. Submit scripts in MS Word or PDF format by email with “Outworks 2012” in the subject line. NOTE: Electronic submissions only. No fee. Questions: outworksfestival@gmail.com.

Filmmakers Chicago Underground Film Festival is now accepting entries from independent filmmaker in the following categories: Narrative Feature (60 minutes or longer), Experimental/Avant-Garde, Narrative Short (under 60 minutes), Animation, Documentary Feature (60 minutes or longer), Documentary Short (under 60 minutes), and Music Video.
