Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grant The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grant is only for artists creating work in visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts or choreography may apply to this program. The applicant must be the primary maker of the creative work (editors, cinematographers, assistant producers, television producers, television/film performers and crew members, dance performers, et al are not eligible). This program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to artists in financial need. Request a grant amount, up to $5,000. Ceramics Artist Residency Program The Umbrella Arts Center seeks applicants for the Ceramics Artist Residency program. Active ceramic artists and educators looking for access to a fully equipped ceramics program with a large and growing community are encouraged to apply. Dates: January 3rd – June 30, 2023. Environmental Artist in Residence Applications are currently being accepted for the 2023 Bernheim Environmental Artist in Residence program in Clermont, KY (20 miles south of Louisville). This program encourages visual artists to examine environmental issues and severity of the climate crisis to promote dialogue and positive change for the natural environment and world at large. Artists are invited to address environmental themes including (but not limited to) excess heat, drought, flooding, extreme weather events, food insecurity, displacement, environmental justice, and the loss of biodiversity. $2500 Stipend. Artists and Photographers Grants Innovate Grant awards (2) $550.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. Call to Young Writers with Disabilities Young writers with disabilities enrolled in high school (generally, ages 14-19) are invited to submit a ten-minute script for the opportunity to participate in a playwrights program. The script should have at least two characters, incorporate an engaging plot, and move the audience through an emotional or entertaining experience all within ten minutes (this is usually eight to nine pages in 12pt. Arial font). Winners will receive a financial award ($1,000 USD) and work with industry professionals to further develop their script, receive coaching/mentorship, and participate in networking opportunities. Disability is a broad umbrella that covers a variety of lived experiences. Eligible student writers may have visible, physical, and/or sensory conditions, as well as less visible conditions like anxiety, ADHD, depression, chronic illness/pain, PTSD, OCD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, neurodivergence, and more.
