We have two art studios for rent in a large mill building in Rockland, MA. There are around 60 artists in the building, and some small businesses. We have open studios twice/yr. Its a great community, and relatively cheap rent. The studios are 330 sq ft, and 650 sq ft, but either could be made smaller to cut the cost down.
Rents are $200 and $510. The space is not as beautiful as some old mill buildings - it's great work space that would take a bit of work to make into a great gallery space. Open to any kind of artists, except unfortunately no music practice spaces.
The larger studio has big north-facing windows, Both studios have plenty of electricity including 220V, and three phase. The building has high ceilings, 24/7 access, good heat, your own window ac in the summer, lots of parking, 2 loading docs, and a freight elevator. 6 minutes from rt 3. Unfortunately not near public transport.
Rent is monthly with 2 months notice when leaving. The bigger studio is full of stuff still, so no photos yet, but it measures 20' x 23'. The smaller one is 10 x 23. Painting will be finished in a few days, and I'll get more photos up.
