Sculptors The Cape Cod Art Association in Barnstable is looking for sculptors to submit three dimensional work to be displayed in their outdoor art garden. Writers Would-be McSweeney’s columnists: the literary magazine is holding its 4th Annual Column Contest. Submit a description of your proposed column, a full sample column, descriptions of three follow-ups, and a short bio. Sculptors Residency The Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts is currently accepting applications for residencies of 3 months of uninterrupted, self-directed work time. The Bemis Center is housed in two urban warehouses totaling 110,000 square feet. Each artist is provided with a generously sized live/work studio with a private bathroom and 24 hour access to facilities including a wood shop, installation spaces, and a large sculpture fabrication facility. Public Media Art The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority and Boston Cyberarts have issued a call for media art for display on the 80 foot tall Marquee at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. They are looking for five 4-minute videos, animations or computer generated work, that are capable of looping and use the entire Marquee in creative ways. Learn more.
