Cross Sector Resource: Legal Basics for Artists. Creative Capital Artist Lab online courses are created by art professionals, industry experts, and fellow artists who share vital concepts, skills, and tools to help grow artists’ careers. Courses are delivered through online lectures and discussions, videos, and text-based learning formats—and include exercises, best practices, and case studies that can be explored at your own pace. Courses are available in English and Spanish. Videos include ASL and Spanish interpretation, as well as CART services. Artist Lab is free for individual, personal use.

Music Educators Summer Workshops Scholarships Scholarships are available from Gordon College for new music teachers, which cover the cost of tuition and campus housing and meals. Choose from seven different courses, and spend a dynamic week with fellow music colleagues and expert instructors. Learn more.

Call for Art Framingham Creative Placemaking. As part of the Framingham Arts & Culture Vision Plan, Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) seeks artists to submit proposals for temporary creative and civic activities at Nevins Hall. Up to $15,000 awarded. Learn more.

Greater Lowell Artists Wanted for the Arts Elevate Training Program The Greater Lowell Community Foundation invites greater Lowell artists to join Arts Elevate’s Artist Training Program, a comprehensive training experience that prepares artists to lead embedded residencies with nonprofits serving youth, veterans, and seniors across Greater Lowell. The full-day, immersive training covers: the philosophy and research behind arts-based wellness interventions; deep dive into the create-connect-catalyze framework for youth outcomes; flow state optimization techniques for creative programming; practical insights from current Arts Elevate resident artists; strategies for effective nonprofit partnership. They welcome artists of all disciplines—visual arts, music, dance, theater, film, spoken word, poetry, literary arts, multimedia, craft, and folk/traditional arts. Priority consideration given to artists who live or work in GLCF’s 21-community region and those from underrepresented backgrounds. Saturday, May 23, 2026, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Lowell, MA (venue details upon acceptance). Cost: FREE—all materials and lunch provided. You must be able to commit to the full day. Space is limited to 15-20 artists to ensure a rich, collaborative learning experience. Completing this training creates a pathway to future embedded artist opportunities with Arts Elevate partner organizations. New Works Funding The National Performance Network (NPN) Creation Fund supports the creation, development, and mobility of new artistic work that advances racial and cultural justice and results in an exchange between artists and communities. The NPN fund supports artists creating a new work in its earliest stages, centering relationship building between artists, presenters, and communities. Creation Fund artists receive a minimum of $15,000 of unrestricted funding that supports the process and labor that goes into creating a new artistic work. Learn more.

Call to Artists Gallery A2 in Boston invites artists to submit a portfolio, a body of work–three or more objects–a collection of pieces holding a concept or idea. Makers across time and industries have put together collections and unified their work into series from fine artists to department stores. We are looking for emerging, early, and mid-career creative practitioners whose submission reads as a unified vessel of work. Fee: free to members; non-members $25 per submission.  Learn more.

Call to Artists The New Hampshire Art Association is accepting entries to Loud & Proud, a regional Pride exhibition open to artists across New England. They are looking for work that celebrates the vibrancy, resilience, and diversity of LGBTQIA+ experiences—art that is bold, joyful, reflective, or unapologetically expressive. Whether political or deeply personal, Loud & Proud lifts up voices that deserve to be seen and heard. Submissions are welcome from both established member artists and community members who may not identify as artists but have something meaningful to share. Fee: $12 for 1 entry, $22 for two entries, $30 for three entries. Learn more.

Call for Sculptures  Old Frog Pond Farm’s 20th Outdoor Sculpture exhibit. The theme this year is The Art of Noticing. Artists to submit sculptures that encourage reflection, presence, and deeper connection. Sculptures might be contemplative, playful, poetic, interactive; raise questions, prompt a dialogue, or evoke emotions. Sculptures will frame and transform the experience of walking through the landscape of this organic farm. In conjunction with the sculpture exhibit a collection of plein air poems will be installed around the pond and through the woods.

Call to Artists Art Fluent invites artists to submit artwork to their online exhibit, Just Add Water. Artists are drawn to water because it’s gorgeous, moody, and a little bit magical. Oceans, rain, rivers, puddles, or even a hint of blue, water gives us a way to splash around with feeling, memory, and transformation. Over $1,200 in cash prizes. All accepted pieces will be displayed in their online gallery. Fee: $25 for first entry/$10 for each additional entry. Learn more.

Free Professional Development Workshops for Artists Registration is open for Assets for Artists May & June Virtual Workshops. All workshops are completely free and open to artists of all disciplines who are based in New England. June workshops include:
Beyond Arts Grants: Creative Solutions for Project Support with Yara Liceaga-Rojas, Thursdays, June 11 and June 18, 2026 from 12:15-2:15PM. After this introductory-level workshop, participants will better understand how they can define the work they are already doing as a fundable project, how to talk about that work with stakeholders, how to integrate care practices when developing a project, and tips for securing the necessary funding. Suitable for artists of all disciplines. 25 participants max.

Essentials of Digital Marketing with Francesca Olsen, Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 12:30-2:30PM. Francesca will cover the basics of digital marketing for artists, including the importance of branding, audience building, effective social media, SEO optimization and website best practices. Suitable for all artists who already have a basic understanding of social media.

Resource Mapping for Individual Artists with Ana Tinajero, Friday, June 26, 2026 from 12:30-2:30PM. Participants will begin by surfacing the resources already at their disposal in their larger personal networks and then outline the pathways to reach the resources not yet secured. Best suited for artists of all disciplines interested in or already engaging with their larger creative community. 30 participants max.

Radiant Thriving: Bold Writing for Boundless Artists with Doctora Xingona Diana Alvarez,  Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 5:45-7:45PM. Participants will practice developing a radiant, bold, unapologetic writing voice that centers their values and identities. Artists will build individual language styles to align with their unique arts practice. Suitable for artists of all disciplines. 25 participants max.

The Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists sheds light on the under-recognized contributions of Black trans women visual artists and provides critical support to their continuing work. Developed and named in partnership with Mariette Pathy Allen, Aaryn Lang, and Serena Jara, this grant supports visual artists who are self-identified Black trans women and awards $10,000 to the winner and $1,250 to distinguished finalists. Winning artists will receive additional professional development resources and further guidance to bolster their creative development in the field. The llluminations Grant is administered through Queer|Art with a rotating panel of judges, each of whom will conduct a studio visit with the winning artist as part of the award’s focus on supporting creative and professional development. Judges for the 2026 grant cycle will be announced soon. Qualified artists must be self-identified Black trans women and trans femmes working in visual art and based in the United States. Learn more.

Artist Residency The Factory on Willow in Manchester, NH, is seeking artists for their 2027 residencies. They offer a studio apartment along with a generous stipend for their 12-week program designed to bring creative minds from around the world. The program is designed to support emerging artists with a place to live for up to 3 months. During this time selected applicants can focus full-time on further developing their creative practice as they take steps to cross the bridge into becoming career professionals. Selected applicants are provided a studio apartment with basic household amenities, heat, hot water, electricity & internet provided. Additionally, each artist is granted a $350 travel stipend and a $1600 stipend that covers food and art supplies. Learn more.
