Artist Residency The Artist Residency at Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) is looking for multimedia artists of color (film/video/installation/360 filmmaking/etc.) to create new, media-based artworks at CCTV as they share their work and creative processes with members of the local Cambridge community. A residency at CCTV may be used to explore a concept, to research artistic or technical feasibility of a certain idea, develop part of a project, or to bring a work to full production scale. Call for Art Boston Cyberarts is organizing a juried exhibition of art/technology art to open Wednesday May 27th through Sunday June 28th at Boston Cyberarts Gallery. They are looking for work that pairs art and technology in a thought provoking and visually engaging manner. They’re particularly interested in pieces that use technology to facilitate art, or art to observe technology from a novel perspective, preferably some combination of the two. Boundary-pushing is desired and respected. Works that address, rather than use, technology on a conceptual level may also be considered. Judging will be finalized by April 8th. Artist Residency The MacDowell Colony nurtures the arts by offering creative individuals of the highest talent an inspiring environment in which to produce enduring works of the imagination. Residencies are awarded based on a completed application to the Colony. Applications are chosen by a peer-review panel. Artists may apply only once within a 24-month period – select the residency period that best suits your schedule.
