Artist Residency Applications are being accepted for an extensive artist-in-residence program in 2017 at Gettysburg National Military Park. They are looking for artists who want to broaden their art practice while spending a full month at this historic battlefield. NPAF is looking for any sort of artwork, from traditional landscapes, photographers, to performers, installations, films/video, as well as as writers, poets, sound artists, and new arts media. Virtually any approach can find a place at Gettysburg — what matters is vision and talent. Learn more

Performing Artists Grants New England States Touring (NEST) provides support to New England-based nonprofit organizations (known as presenters) for performances and community activities by select New England performing artists. Learn more.

Muslim Writers, Poets Halal If You Hear Me seeks submission for new anthology of writings by Muslims who are queer, women, genderqueer, nonbinary, or trans. Editors Fatimah Asghar and Safia Elhillo are looking for poems and essays “on any theme.” Writers are invited to submit up to five poems or two essays (no longer than three pages) and a cover letter with contact info and a short bio. Call to Artists
The Gallery at Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill in Sharon, MA is accepting entries for their juried exhibit, Sky…Looking Up (January 2016– April 2017). It will showcase artists’ observations and perceptions about any of these wonders in the sky, simple or complex: the moon, sun, planets, clouds and stars – the possibilities are infinite! Artists’ can express their work in any chosen medium, style or interpretation. Any medium is acceptable for the show, artists are invited to submit up to five (8”x10”) photo prints of images intended for the exhibit, not matted or framed, for judging purposes only. All prints must be labeled on the back with contact information, dimensions, title, and medium. Entry fee is $15; please provide a stamped return envelope if you would like your photos returned. Exhibition Proposals The Newton Free Library presents monthly shows of two-dimensional works by New England area artists in their two exhibiting spaces, the Gallery and Main Hall. Applications are now being accepted for exhibits for their July-December 2017 time period. All work presented must be original and produced within the last three years. Learn more.

Crafts Artists The Nichols House Museum is seeking emerging artists working in craft disciplines (textiles, ceramics or woodworking) to submit proposals for works to be installed in the museum for an exhibit that will be on view from March to August 2017. The Nichols House Museum aims to position the history of the Nichols family in dialogue with a wide range of perspectives to create new and mindful interpretations of the house. Learn more.

Exhibition Proposals The Rocky Neck Art Colony (RNAC) is seeking proposals from artists, for exhibitions in 2017, two of which will be chosen to receive an honorarium grant.  They will award the two grants of $1,000 for two five-week exhibition slots available in the spring of 2017. The grants will cover the cost of the exhibition space—for the selected artists—plus postcard printing and mailing. Each proposed exhibition will include two or more artists and include at least one RNAC artist member. Music Rehearsal Space Artists and arts groups can submit their proposal for the use of space within the AT&T Boylston flagship store in Boston for small group or individual music rehearsals. The selected artists or group will enter into an agreement with the AT&T Boylston store for free rehearsal space according to the space availability and requirements stated below. This Call for Artists is for free rehearsal space only and does not come with any funding. This call is open to individual artists, non profits, and artist groups. You do not need to be a non-profit organization to apply, Boston residency is preferred. Learn more.
