At yesterday’s Local Cultural Council Statewide Assembly* at the Massachusetts State House, we heard from Representative Gloria Fox (Roxbury) about an intriguing event tomorrow at the State House, as part of a series of Black History Month celebrations.
African Americans in the Military Art Exhibit and Reception takes place Friday, February 10, 2012, at 1:30 PM, at the Grand Staircase of the Massachusetts State House. There will be performances, refreshments, and art by the young artists of Artists for Humanity.

* The event yesterday was a convening of volunteers from the 329 Local Cultural Councils throughout the Commonwealth to discuss topics key in arts and culture, learn about advocacy opportunities, and be celebrated for their exceptional service to the MA cultural community.
