Call for Art Entries are now being accepted for the exhibition Nowhere Everywhere at the Thompson Gallery at the Cambridge School of Weston. They are seeking works of art that examine the genres of utopia and dystopia with regard to the human conflict or dilemma within societal structures. Photography The Aperture Foundation is now accepting submissions for Black Mirror and it will be curated by Michael Famighetti, editor of Aperture magazine. The title borrows its name from the British television series Black Mirror, which imagines a dystopian near-future for the age of the smartphone. Black Mirror refers to the omnipresent screens through which our lives are mediated today, and the show depicts a society in which technology ominously defines and shapes our relationships and each facet of daily life. Call to Artists The Arsenal Center for the Arts seeks the artwork from illustrators and comic artists who create work in a children/family friendly genre, for their summer 2015 exhibition More Than Words: A Children’s Illustration Exhibition. Original work is preferred but high-quality prints will be considered. Work can be hand drawn, painted, print, graphic, or digital – All work must be submitted electronically. Submit 5-10 images in JPEG format, no larger than 300dpi.
