Resources for Massachusetts Veterans: Veterans’ Laws and Benefits guide as well as food and housing resources.

Of Note: Join CreativeGround for a Profile Support Session. 1-1:30 p.m., Nov. 13th, 2025, online. Register for your free appointment. CreativeGround is a project of the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA.) It is the dynamic regional directory that celebrates the vital work of New England’s creative people and places. CreativeGround is a community-generated and free tool that supports a region-wide creative network.

Call for Artists The City of Newton’s Cultural Development department invites individual artists or artist teams to apply to display their work in the 2026 Newton City Hall Gallery Program. Artists selected for this exhibition series will have the opportunity to contribute to the cultural vibrancy of Newton by sharing their creativity in this lively public space. The Newton City Hall galleries include three separate exhibit areas: the 1st floor gallery, 2nd floor gallery, and the stairways connecting the two floors (the Stairway Gallery is reserved for student artists). The City Hall galleries are open during City Hall business hours and are visited daily by civic leaders, City staff, and residents. Learn more.

Exhibiting Artists The Mosesian Center for the Arts has a call for exhibiting artists for their third annual Holiday Makers Market. Crafters, creatives, artists, and artisans from Watertown, Greater Boston, and across New England will showcase unique, affordable, and giftable creations from ceramics, jewelry, and fiber arts to prints, paintings, ornaments, cards, and more. Enjoy holiday music, treats, and hot cocoa as you browse from 12:00-6:00 PM on Saturday, December 6 in the 321 indoor breezeway behind the Mosesian Center for the Arts. There are still a few spots available for artist vendors! Please contact borianakantcheva@mosesianarts.org if you’d like to be part of this event.

Art Vendors The Waltham Winter Market is looking for artisans, artists, crafters, designers, and food/beverage vendors to showcase their goods at a cozy Winter Market in Malden, December 6, from 11am to 5pm. Whether you sell handmade gifts, photos, prints, wreathes, candles, jewelry, clothing, seasonal treats, creative crafts, etc. Learn more.

Call to Artists Applications are now open for the Mosesian Center for the Arts’ new Artist-in-Residence Program. Designed to support emerging and mid-career artists across all disciplines including visual, performing, music, literary, and interdisciplinary. Selected artists will receive 24-hour studio access, professional development opportunities, and the chance to share their work through public programs and a culminating exhibition. Learn more.

Call for Art, Video Fall of Freedom is a nationwide wave of creative resistance against attacks on our democracy. This is a moment for artists to raise their voices – to show our power. From Friday the 21st to Saturday the 22nd, galleries, museums, libraries, comedy clubs, theaters and concert halls across the country will host exhibitions, performances and public events that speak to the urgency of now. Don’t have access to one of these spaces? No problem. TransCultural Exchange’s social media can be your platform. To participate, send Transcultural Exchange: One still image or video (up to 30 seconds), a short text (up to 150 words). Your contribution should express what the freedom to create art looks like – or means – to you. On November 20th and 21st, they will post what you send on their social media channels as part of the Fall of Freedom, helping to amplify your voice here and abroad. Native Artist Professional Development Training First People’s Fund, in collaboration with Turtle Island Community Capital and Rhode Island School of Design, is offering a Two-Day Native Artist Professional Development Training. November  21-22, 2025, Providence, Rhode Island. The two-day trainings is designed to give artists real-world tools and detailed resources to navigate the arts industry and become successful entrepreneurs. Call to Fiber Artists Lexington Arts and Crafts Society in Lexington, MA, is accepting entries for Exploring the World of Fibers 2026 Gallery Show. The exhibit will be juried by Paula B. Richter, curator at large, Peabody Essex Museum. Learn more.

Creative Community Fellows New England is an eight month fellowship designed to bring cultural trailblazers together from around the region to be part of something bigger, to learn life-changing skills, focus on wellness, and see their dreams for creating positive change in their communities become a reality. The cohort of fellows will create a regional community of practice, have access to a stipend of up to $10,000, and learn tools to support and scale their work from a teaching and facilitating team comprised of NAS staff, university faculty, artists, and creative leaders from across the globe. Filmmakers Home of the NYC Indie Awards the festival aims to discover the Artist Filmmaker, showcasing them to the entertainment industry and the NYC public. Call for Artists: Needham Mural Project (Budget: $14,000) The Needham Council for Arts and Culture (Needham, MA) seeks proposals from professional muralists for a highly visible public mural (approx. 37’x14′) on Highland Avenue. The project budget is up to $14,000. We are seeking an artist who can reflect Needham’s vibrant, inclusive character and engage with the community. Call to Artists The Piano Craft Gallery is accepting entries for their exhibition, Violence Transformed-INVISIBILITY.Jurors: Flor Delgadillo, JayPix, Carolina Perez, Darian Leta and Yvette Modestin. Calling multidisciplinary artists to amplify stories too often unseen. Together, we ask: How can we create, and nurture awareness rooted in acceptance and appreciation? How can art provoke the change we seek? From rupture to renewal, this exhibition reimagines what can emerge from pain. Through color, rhythm, and collective storytelling, artists reclaim what harmed them. Piano Craft Gallery Piano Craft Gallery is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Resident Group show.  They are hoping to have a large celebratory show of current and past residents’ artworks. Any current or past resident who would like to exhibit their work should plan to drop off their work at the gallery December 1st or 2nd from 5:30-7PM.  Each participant may exhibit up to 5 pieces. Call for Landscape Art Mosesian Arts invites artists to submit work inspired by the landscape. Landscape in art is a broad theme that spans from depictions of the natural world, the urban and industrial landscapes to the landscape as a symbolic representation. Mosesian Arts is seeking work where the landscape takes center stage. The work can be focused on the natural world as perceived by the artist or can be more interpretive and nonliteral. Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) Playwright Residency The BCA Playwright Residency supports rising playwrights by providing space to rehearse, perform and write a new work. Support is tailored to the selected artist, and includes mentorship, and professional development to create, produce and reach expanded audiences. This program aims to provide a container for playwrights who are invested in developing experimental work that sheds light on underrepresented stories and narratives. Learn more.
