Poets New Criterion’s Poetry Prize is currently accepting manuscript entries of up to 60 pages. A prize of $3,000 and publication by St. Augustine’s Press is given annually for a poetry collection that pays close attention to form. Charles Martin, Roger Kimball, and David Yezzi will judge. Performing Arts Projects The MAP Fund, an ancillary program of Creative Capital, is now accepting applications for performing arts projects. Visit the Online Letter of Inquiry site to read the instructions, register your account, and submit your application. The MAP Fund is founded on the principle that experimentation drives human progress, no less in art than in science or medicine.
Deadline for Letter of Inquiry: October 4, 2013 (5:00pm EST)

Call to Artists The Cambridge Art Association is currently accepting entries for their Red Biennial 2013. Open to artists living in the Northeast working in all media. Show dates: December 11, 2013 – January 24, 2014. This year’s juror is Amy Sadao, Daniel Dietrich II Director, Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania. Learn more.

Entrepreneurial Support for Artists Assets for Artists is a great opportunity for artists. Massachusetts artists apply to participate in a matched savings grant program, along with financial/business training, including home ownership assistance. Open to artists in all disciplines. Learn more.

Dance Films  Entries are now being accepted for the 2nd annual En Route Dance Film festival presented by Dances Made to Order. Learn more.

Photographers The Photography Center of Cape Cod (a program of Cape Cod Art Association) is holding an open juried photography exhibit, “Winter Wonderland,” to be hung at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old Main Street, South Yarmouth, MA from November 27 through December 8, 2013. Entry fee is $10 for members, $15 for non-members, no maximum. Cash awards for Best of Show, second place and honorable mention totaling over $800. The juror is Marcia Duggan, an award-winning photographer, specializing in aerial and Cape Cod coastal photography. Learn more.

Call to Artists Gallery 111 at Frame-ables in Concord, MA is welcoming artists to submit work for their upcoming show entitled “Bold Lines.” Print makers, painters, and mixed media artists are encouraged to apply. Learn more.

Call for Artists The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, together with the Cotuit Center for the Arts, announces the seventh year of their collaborative winter exhibit January/February 2014. This year’s exhibit is titled Seeing the Light, featuring artists’ interpretation of the theme. All Cape Cod established and emerging artists are invited to submit their art for consideration for inclusion in Seeing the Light. Learn more.

Writers and Poets Women’s National Book Association (WNBA) – Boston Chapter is accepting submissions for its second annual National Writing Contest. Unpublished short fiction and poetry are eligible for consideration. Application fee is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. One winner in each category will receive a $250 cash prize as well as publication in The Bookwoman, the official publication of the WNBA. Learn more.
