Grants for Artists Live Arts Boston (LIV) will support a diverse cohort of 30 artists and creators at different points in their careers with individual grants of $30,000 to nurture their creative practice and artistry and, for some grantees, to also present new and/or existing work. Live Arts Boston, with more than $1 million in grants and professional support available for performing artists, creators, and cultural practitioners in the Boston area, and a particular commitment to highlight and uplift BIPOC and immigrant artists. Call to Artists Entries are currently being accepted for Gallery 263’s exhibition, Face. Figurative artwork reveals an expressive perspective of celebrating the world through observation and interpreting details of everyday lives. The longstanding tradition of portraiture is a testament to its ability to depict not only the exact likeness of a person or scene but also to reflect the inner sentiments of the maker. Gallery 263 invites artists based in the United States to submit to Face, a juried exhibition that challenges the tradition and explores the potential of portraiture. Learn more.

Call for Art The Community Sculpture Walk exhibits public sculptures in Watertown, to enhance the use of green space, encourage public interaction with contemporary art, and create an annual exhibition opportunity for artists at all stages of career working in a variety of mediums. The Community Sculpture Walk follows the Community Path, from the library parking lot at Saltonstall Park to the Howard Street extension. Sculptures will be selected annually through an open call to artists and on view for two years.

Call to Artists This call is open to artist members of Newburyport Art Association, ages 18 or older. The artist membership can be at any level. Learn about membership here. Call for Artists The New Hampshire Art Association (NHAA) is excited to announce a collaboration exhibition “The Matter of Memory” with the Portsmouth Historical Society. Artifacts from Portsmouth’s historic people will be displayed along with New England artists’ contemporary take on memory and remembrance. Artists are encouraged to think about what stories we consciously or unconsciously create and perpetuate through the things we save, display, and record. Can our collective memory bind us together or can our history be manipulated to distort the past and keep us apart? These themes among others will guide the juror’s selections. $600 of prize money will be awarded. Learn more.
