Call for Art The Nave Gallery in Somerville is now accepting entries for their show I’ve Been Everywhere, Man: Musicians on the Road. Musicians, road crew, engineers, venue employees, and other supporters of the music scene as well as professional artists are encouraged to submit work. All mediums will be considered. Learn more.

MCC Artist Fellowships Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Fellowships Program (that’s us here at ArtSake!) is currently accepting applications in Crafts, Dramatic Writing, and Sculpture/Installation/New Genres. Fellowships are $10,000 each. Learn more.
Deadline: October 6, 2014

The MCC’s STARS Residency Program’s online application will open at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 and close when the demand for funds exceeds the funding available. STARS Residencies has a rolling deadline – applications will be reviewed on a “first-received, first-reviewed” basis. Applications are reviewed within five weeks of submission. Learn more.

Artist as Activist Fellowship Applications are being accepted for the Rauschenberg Foundation’s Artist as Activist Fellowship. Learn more.
Deadline: October 13, 2014

Local Cultural Council Grants Applicants may apply to the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s LCC Program for projects, operating support, ticket subsidy programs, artist residencies, fellowships or other activities, based on local priorities and needs. Average grants tend to be modest ($200-$500) and are reimbursement-based. Learn more.
Deadline: October 15, 2014

Call for Art Entries are now being accepted for the exhibition The Personal is Political is Personal, curated by Sara Allred at Tufts Slater Concourse Gallery, November 1 – December 12, 2014. Artists (living or working in the Tufts University “host communities” of Medford, Somerville, and Boston’s Chinatown) can submit 2D art addressing this theme. Learn more.

Artist Survey The Arts Extension Service at UMass Amherst is looking for artists to respond to their survey in order to help shape their professional training workshops, which they bring to communities nationwide. Here’s the link to their survey.
