Dance, Theater, Music, Opera, Spoken Word, Performance Art, Circus Arts, Traditional, Folk Performing Arts, Multi-Disciplinary Applications are currently being accepted from performing artists, groups of artists, and small performing arts organizations in the Greater Boston area to apply for funding in support of 2019 projects. The Boston Foundation’s Live Arts Boston (LAB) provides up to $15,000 per project to create, produce or present new work for Greater Boston audiences. In addition to grant funds, grantees will receive support for project documentation, mentorship, peer networking opportunities, and professional development. Learn more.

Veteran Artists, Non-Veteran Artists To commemorate Veterans Day, the Ann Street Gallery is now accepting submissions for their exhibition Forget Me Not, a meaningful exhibition that honors our American Military Veterans for their contribution of service and sacrifice, while promoting veterans in the arts. They are looking for art work by both veteran artists and non-veteran artists. Topics that may be explored but not limited to are: unique perspectives of war as a shared experience; individually or collectively; personal narratives; anti-war and reflections on service, sacrifice or military culture.  Entry Specifications: Artist should email the following to vwalsh@annstreetgallery.org with subject heading “Forget Me Not” along with five jpeg images of work; website link; cv/resume. No fee. Delivery: Week of October 22, 2018. Exhibition Opening: November 3, 2018. Exhibition Closes: January 5, 2019. Pickup Artwork: Week of January 7, 2019
Accepted work & Notification: Accepted artists will be notified via email within 72 hours of receiving their submission. Delivery & Return of Accepted Work: All works must arrive in reusable packing and include a return shipping label. Email or call (845-784-1146) with questions.

Artists, Sculptors The Martha Hughes Cannon Statue Oversight Committee today announced the issuance of a Request for Qualifications/Proposal for the creation of a statue of Dr. Martha Hughes Cannon for National Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Artists nationwide are invited to submit their qualifications according to the guidelines established in the RFQ. Learn more.

Call for Entries The Limner Gallery in Hudson, NY, is currently accepting entries for their exhibition Emerging Artists 2019. This exhibition is devoted to the discovery, introduction and promotion of emerging artists. The exhibition will be held February 27 – March 23, 2019. Learn more.

Exhibition Proposals The Somerville Museum invites applications for public exhibits at the museum. Two community curators will be selected and will receive a seed grant of $2,500 and exhibit space in the galleries at 1 Westwood Road, Somerville, MA. Learn more.

Call to Artists New Bedford Art Museum/ArtWorks! (NBAM/AW!) is seeking artists and pet enthusiasts alike to submit their artworks to Who Saved Who? an exhibition that explores our relationships with beloved pets and animals through creative expression. Learn more.
Deadline: November 5, 2018 (by 5PM EST)

Performing Artists Applications are being accepted for the New England States Touring (NEST) Grant (for projects on or after March 1, 2018). NEST grants are awarded through a competitive selection process. Grants are available in amounts of up to 50% of the artists’ fees, and typically range from $400 to $4,000. Requests below $400 will not be accepted. Artists’ fees may include costs for creation of new work, travel, and per diem. Learn more.
