Feeling spaced out? No worries. Just be sure to take flight of your artistic visions and check out the opportunities below. Roger that. Over and out.

Socially-Conscious Artists KIDSPACE at MASS MoCA is seeking an artist for a May 2011 residency. Each week, the artist-in-residence will work with a group of local high school students to create art pieces to be exhibited in DownStreet Art, opening in June 2011, and work with teenagers to curate the exhibition. A stipend of $2000 will be provided, as well as inclusion of the artists’ work in the DownStreet Art exhibit. Housing is not provided so applicants should live in proximity to North Adams, and artists should be available to work evenings. To apply, send a cover letter, resume, 8-10 examples of work (720 dpi, 800 px wide on longest side), artist’s statement, and a proposal for the project(s) involving local high school students, including how the proposal relates to your work and addresses a particular socially conscious theme. Email PDFs/jpgs or mail printed materials/CD-ROMS to Laura Thompson, Kidspace at MASS MoCA, 1032, MASS MoCA Way, North Adams, MA 01247.
Deadline: March 20, 2011
